Simply the most delicious southern brunch around. The gravy and biscuits at pies n thighs are what gravy and biscuits should be...none of the sweet cream/soy milk/paprika-crazy gravy, but actual gravy made from sausage, flour, milk and water just as it should be. The pulled pork sandwich is very good and the potato salad is unbelievable. Collard greens are also tasty. The catfish box is good, but maybe a little skimpy at only two small pieces of fish. What else? Oh, sweet tea is the only tea, however, a bit expensive a $2 per with no refills. Also, don't go if it's gobs of coffee you need for brunch as the coffee pot empties quickly and everyone's hands are sometimes too full to make more immediately. All in all, I love this place.

Best biscuits and gravy in the city, hands down. The fish and grits are also really awesome, as well as the doughnuts. I fell in love with the chicken biscuit last time, which is essentially a biscuit with fried chicken and honey butter. With hot sauce, it's incredible. Friends say the hash is great. Never actually been for dinner, but when it gets warmer I'll definitely be there. I hear the pies are out of this world. I don't often miss Oklahoma, but eating here makes me want to go back home and visit. Warning: pretty much greasy. It's the way it should be, but control yourself when you go, or you might regret overeating later.

If you like comfort food, you've come to the right place. Came here and got the fried chicken with mac and cheese, followed by a slice of chocolate pudding pie. I had to come back the next night it was so good. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside, not too greasy, and the chicken itself was moist and juicy. Mac and cheese came with hot sauce on it that gave it a great kick. The chocolate cream pie was amazing. The crust fell apart in my mouth and the filling was delicious. Decor is cave-like and kind of gross. Definitely not a place to go for the atmosphere. All in all though, Pies n Thighs is definitely worth the trip.

The fried chicken is the best.
