    Best Biscuit in NYC!!

I am from the south and have eaten biscuits at numerous places that have been raved about on this website but this is the first biscuit that tasted anything like the biscuits I loved down south. The sweet tea is actual sweet tea, not sweetened tea and the fried chicken isn't half bad either. If you are from the south or love real southern food you have to go and try this place.

    Best Restaurant in Brooklyn

Words fail to express how happy I am that Pies and Thighs is reopened, this place is simply the best. This is real down home cookin, friendly service and amazing value. Everything on the menu is fantastic from the collards to the Arnold Palmers, it's delicious and comes in huge portions. My personal favorite, being a transplanted Tarheel myself, is the pulled pork box. You just can't get real NC pulled pork BBQ anywhere else unless you make a 12 hour drive south. Run don't walk NOW!

    Best Doughnuts?

Just cause they're not made by a chain doesn't make them "Best in town". Yes they are fried and covered with cinnamon and sugar but that's it. It's basically fried white cake. Quite bland, no nutmeg. Also got a bacon egg cheese on a biscuit for 5 bucks. Yolk sized biscuit doesn't work for a sandwich. Not worth the $5 fo sho. Will go back to try the chicken and make final review.

    crack on a biscuit

Yes, the chicken biscuit is that good. Yes, the donuts are amazing. Yes, the staff is friendly, the customers are hot, and the location is a dump (a charming dump). Hopefully the new digs won't be all glimmer and glitz. I'm looking forward to clogging my arteries some more when it reopens.

    Good and only closed temporarily

The website states that Pies n Thighs is moving to a new location and will reopen Summer 2008. Hopefully, they'll have indoor seating. I love their food, especially the pulled pork and the macaroni and cheese. Love the touch of hot sauce on almost everything. Can't wait till they open again.

    Hello? What about the burgers?

Williamsburg has no shortage of places claiming to have the best burger, and believe me, I've tried them all. And no matter where I go, I still come back to Pies and Thighs. Don't believe me? Next time, go in and order yourself an old fashioned bacon cheeseburger with french fries. You will be in heavenly bliss to the point where you will completely ignore the sound of your arteries clogging up. And it's that good every single time.
