have been looking foe a place where the chicken comes to the table skin crisp from the oil and hot i've found it 3 big pieces of crisp white meat that put a smile on my face. loved the giant biscuit wish they sold them by the dozen. forget the mac this was the mac they taught us to make in home-ec yes i'm over 50 pump up the cheese we can see the mac but can't taste the cheese

    Mmm I like dem' biscuits

This place has the best chicken biscuit sandwich of my life. OF MY LIFE. I don't care what anyone says the butter on that biscuit that melts over the delightful fried chicken is incredible. Obviously not the healthiest of foods but if you are willing to go for a heart attack get the chicken biscuit. NOW!

BEST fried chicken I've EVER had!

Get the chicken box with mac and cheese. Trust me. Their brunch is also phenomenal but you'll have to wait a bit... Not a lot of seating.

It was just okay.. but thats not to say its bad

Okay.. so maybe I'm a harsh critic of this place because I was born and raised in the south but, here goes: This place is great if you are in the neighborhood. But its certainly not the "Ohh I gotta take you to this "soulfood" spot" type of place. the chicken (im from Kentucky) was decent at best but fried very well. The mac and cheese was a bit of a joke ( Its NOT BAKED and I see why it comes with a dash of hot sauces on it..it needed something) and the biscuit was pretty good. I was mostly disappointed with the pie! Terribly BS apple pie. And what they called banana cream pie was more like commericial brand banana pudding with pie crust. I wasn't impressed. It was all just okay for me. I wouldnt venture out of my way to eat there. But I woudnt mind one in my neighbor for take-out purposes.

No Longer Excited. But I'll be back for PIE and...

Overall: disappointed. good pie. want to try the chicken. Total: $20 including tip. Catfish: two thin strips, crunchy cornmeal crust is OK , too salty, nice hint of spice, cooked well. Creamed Spinach: No seasoning. Gluey. bad. Coleslaw: No seasoning, no vinegar, mayo, and cut into a julienned vegetable mash. bad. Tarter: good. a sweet tarter. Key Lime PIE: GREAT. 4**** Sweat Tea: It's tea. It's sweet. It's cool. So, not the greatest food yet. Have still to taste the fried chicken (which I saw a batch returned to the kitchen rare) but could be good. I hear chicken biscuit and breakfast are nice. fries are from a bag so probably frozen. Will def go back for pie and I suppose try the chicken and waffles.
