Pie by the Pound
Posted by Marcy on 03/28/2005
The pizza is amazing. It is truly the best you will find in the city. The way they serve their pizza is also very interesting and provides you with a chance to have multiple different types of servings of their various pizzza's. Best of all their staff is very friendly and informative. This girl Melissa said she was a new hire and she was one of the most friendly knowledgable servers/counter girls I have been served by at a pizza joint. I'll keep coming back for the pizza, I just wish they would lower the price per pound of pizza.

I disagree with the reviewer below who said the staff is curt. We wandered in here on a Saturday afternoon, and the two people behind the counter told us all about the pizzas, made recommendations, made conversation with us, and even offered us free dessert pizza (we were too stuffed to take them up on the offer). Really nice people, and the pizza was great.

This pizza is delicious, and one dollar beers? Who can argue. But seriously, they are way understaffed.

Modern, clean, and friendly. The best tasting pizza and the most interesting toppings. I agree with all of the very positive reviews. The first time I ever had pizza by the pound, but it wont be the last.

This place desparately needs more staff. And a nicer one at that! First of all, there is no need for the brusqueness and exasperation on the faces of the waitstaff. People, it's your job. Suck it up. Second of all, the decor is terrible. It's minimalist, as if taking a designing clue from the Target logo. All aluminum and circles, no sign in the window because it's just that cool. *Yawn* There's nothing worse than a place than a pretentious pizza parlor. Now the decor and the service were really turning me off to the place, but luckily the pizza is really good. And very interestingly designed as a long thin sheet. "Slices" are cut off by large scissors and are priced by weight. Delicious pizza. I had a slice with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and arugula. Next time I'd order delivery though. Between the decor and the service, I wouldn't go back in person.
