What's the deal?...they had me on hold for over 10 minutes. I hung up-called back and asked if they were too busy and if I should call back later. All they ever say is 1 second and put me on hold forever. Well, I hung up and called a different bagel store on the UES. They are rude on the phone and often get my delivery wrong. I am done with this place. There are way too many bagel stores on the UES...I don't need to be treated like that.

Whenever I eat here in the evening, they clean like no one is there. I was at the bar and they laid huge empty trays right next to me on the bar and on the chairs. They dragged huge trash bags through the restaurant, and left the door WIDE OPEN while it was 33 degrees out! the whole time I was eating. That's understandable that they want to clean the place up and not have to stay late, so close the place an hour before you want to leave and THEN start cleaning. Of course it's just a deli and not some 4 star restaurant, but that doesn't give them license to freeze out everyone and drag trash bags through the restaurant.

Used to be a huge fan and either ordered in or picked up weekly- if not more- for a week they were closed for repairs and when they reopened I ordered a bagel and cream, cheese- the cream cheese was spoiled - have yet to return...

I'm a college student and when I'm home for breaks I always stop here and grab a few bagels to freeze at school even thought I'm further uptown and it's totally out of the way. My roommates even look forward to them too :-)

The bagels are big and fresh. I had a lox spread and it was great! They certainly didn't skimp on the spread. It's very busy on the weekends, but well worth the wait.

very nice bagels. They do not skimp on the cream cheese. The gentleman behind the counter was exceptionally friendly and accomodating. While in New York, we got bagels there three times
