    Great little neighborhood cafe

Just what Murray Hill needed. A great little european cafe that has gourmet sandwiches, salads, pasta and coffee. Gets crowded at lunch time, but worth the wait in my opinion. Love the Salami sandwich and the tuna sandwich. Will be a regular here.

Strike one, but might try again

Thought the menu was promising, and I like having a non-chain, homemade option near the office. Maybe I ordered poorly - an asparagus barley soup, which sounds great but was extremely oily - like a thick layer of oil on the top, which I tried to remove. Soup was salty, not much flavor otherwise. The bread did seem stale but I appreciated the garlic flavor. Sort of gruff service, and I had to repack my bag since my soup lid wasn't on all the way and was leaking. But it was the lunch rush hour. I wanted to like this place... might give them another shot.

Good food, except for the bread

Nice pasta selection, and the sandwiches are usually pretty decent. But the bread needs to be upgraded: the "bruschetta" with the pasta is just a stale piece of sliced bread, and the sandwich bread isn't good either.

    Charming spot for great food

Tiny and sometimes packed, but the food is so good you will never mind. Hip crowd, great atmosphere and excellent coffee. Not a place to go if you're in a rush, but a place to linger and enjoy la bella vita.

    Not ready for prime time

This location has been open for more than a month -- more than enough time to work out the kinks. Still, I had to repeat my order several times (I saw the server writing it down incorrectly) and had to repeat my name twice because she wrote it wrong (I even spelled it the first time, duh). The best part is, I walk out with my order, get back to the office -- wrong sandwich! The food was tasty but not worth the trouble.
