Food, standard cuisine - good Prices, reasonable Service, servers have a hurried look, but the service was slow Ambience, the front room has a bar on the right - it has about 8 stools with a large flat screen above - it's too loud as a radio is usually playing Latin pop music - there are about six tables for couples in this section - it's rather cold re the atmosphere. Side room, off of the first room there is a side room with a number of tables for couples and bigger groups - can get loud on a busy night in this room

The food is still delish; I'm from the w coast and was ecstatic to have pretty authentic Mexican that was deliverable and late nights. I'm sad to say though that almost the entire menu is gone, leaving a weird trying-to-appeal-to-I-have-no-idea-who menu with hints of Mexican, but missing some major areas. The shrimp tostadas were some of the best I've ever had, I will cry for those for ever. They don't have lengua anymore, and it seems many of the meat/protein options are as well. Why?? Again, food still great, but once again, I'm left without real Mexican in Harlem...sads.

Delicious food! Authentic Mexican cuisine. I would recommend just about everything I've tried but definitely the Aguacate Relleno De Camaron. While the food is great I can't say the same about the service. The waitresses aren't the most professional and seem to lack custom service training. The restaurant in its self is comfortable and provides a decent dining experience however the lack of respect and knowledge of some of the workers makes this place a definite take out/delivery spot.

I've been going here before the current owners when it was just a hole in the wall. Luckily the food has kept it's level of quality. Won't go anywhere else if they keep it that way. As a bar, it's a shame that they would have such sub par margaritas, made from a plastic tub of margarita powder. Service is hit or miss. Depends on the staff. The current staff seem to not be as personable and are slower than ever.

Took forever to get seated. Had to ask 3 times for the table to be wiped down. 40 minutes until food arrived and appetizers arrived at same time as dinner. Food was ok, though not special. Had to go to bar to get check. I really wanted this to be great but think I will give this a miss in the future.

The only bad thing about ordering for delivery from Picante is that they take FOREVER to deliver. You need to order at 12pm to get food at 2pm. And we work practically like 4 blocks from Picante.

Its hard to find a restaurant above 135th on Broadway that has great food, service & value. Picante's one of the few. The tacos are my favorite and everythings always fresh. I enjoy take out and dining there.
