Fast, reasonably priced. The steamed and baked pork buns, as well as the eggrolls are good. I also ordered the Peking Noodles, which were horrible. Anyway, you learn that not all dishes are good, but I am tired of ordering a 15.00 minimum and not getting any bang for my buck; as well as not consistently good chinese.

A friend came into town and he had reservations for the Colbert show and we ate at Pic Up stixs afterwards for dinner. this was the closest eatery from his apartment, the four of us sat down (this place seems like you can sit max of 4 ppl but you can always put tables together i guess..) sat down had some sesame chicken, triple delight chicken, sweet and sour chicken, some pork dumplings, and shrimp lo mein.. simple stuff you'll find at any typical chinese take out. food was great but we devoured the sesame chicken first and i have to say its the best sesame chicken i've ever tasted.. well the dumplings were good too lol. atmosphere was good too along with pretty good serivice.. i'd def recommend this place and they can count on me for being their #1 fan of their sesame chicken. excellent little eatery, just wanted to share my experience. =]

We used to enjoy ordering from Pic Up Stix every week or so. Dull-average menu, but the voice on the phone was pleasant, the food dependably decent, the delivery so fast that the guy must have had a hot plate on his bike. But over the last six months the food has gone wildly downhill though the service remains okay. Tonight's meal ended the relationship. A dish of tofu with hot peppers and peanuts consisted of huge chunks of uncooked tofu in a watery brown sauce with GREEN peppers and (I counted) 6 peanuts. Broccoli in garlic sauce turned out to be mystery meat (pork strips?) with more green peppers in the same thin brown sauce; not a hint of garlic. (Embarrassing, because I ordered it for a vegetarian friend.) My husband's sweet & sour chicken, which I ordered with sauce on the side, was nicely fried but dripping oil, and the sauce was all sweet, no sour, and yes, watery. Sorry, guys: we're dropping the Pic Up Stix.

This is somewhere between your typical take-out Chinese place and a a nicer sit-down place. It's nice for when you want to go out to eat and want something a little nicer but are not trying to spend a whole lot or don't need a whole lot of atmosphere. I had the ginger delight which was a Chicken/Shrimp mix with a nice mild Ginger based sauce accompanied by a nice serving of steamed white rice. Wife had chicken fried rice. Both were tasty and filling without being salty or greasy. We washed it all down with some Chinese beer. Bill came out to around $25. Service was quick. This is perfect when you want a quick lunch or dinner but want to actually sit down and don't want to spend too much.

Something has happened to this place-- an it's not for the better. I've been ordering and eating here for the past 15 years. The quality of the food has declined. I ordered the lunch special take out (Chicken in Garlic Sauce) which arrived cold, burned, and with an off taste suggestive that the chicken was rotten. Rather than eat it, I threw it in the trash as a preventive health measure. My advice, avoid this place at all costs.

We have been ordering takeout from them for 10 years. The food is now going down hill with the dishes being 1/2 the size. Today we ordered the lunch menu. When it came the price was much higher than the menu stated. We were told that "soup no longer comes with the meal and was charged extra for the soup". The owner was rude and hung up on me when I asked why we were not told this when we ordered the food on the phone!! Nasty people, but there are many other places to order from. Avoid this place...

This is the second time we have tried Pic Up Stix. The first time the food was just alright, but not really worth the price as there are several other Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood who serve better tasting food for less. This time we ordered the Szechuan Tofu and Fried Tofu. The Fried Tofu was completely tasteless. I think that eating plain tofu would have tasted exactly the same. I thought that was disappointing, but I had not yet tasted the Szechuan Tofu. When I opened the container, there was an unpleasant odor . It had very little flavor, and no hint of anything spicy or tasty that would live up to the name Szechuan. Anyway, I made myself eat some of it, because I hate wasting food, but I couldn't make myself finish it. I should point out that I am not a picky eater - this was seriously lousy food. I would go somewhere else. Save your money and your taste buds!
