    Ehhh

Pizza isn't anything to mention... What happened to NYC, the pizza in this town is unappetizing. Oh and extra cheese means more than hardly any....

    really?!

not only do I NEVER write reviews for anyone but I also don't even live w/in 40 blocks of Piata. this place has amazing, authentic, home cooked itlalian that beats most high end places in the heart of manhattan. the arribata ravioli is unreal, and the family owned & run charm puts it head & shoulders above anyplace on the upper east side, harlem & midtown. try the choc mousse desert and any garlic/oil pasta. very very very highly recommmended by a 10 yr manhattan serious food enthusiast how has tried it ALL.

    Terrible

The food here is so bad it should be a crime. My Italian friend refused to taste it just after looking at it. The ingredients taste cheap. My Penne Bolognese was watery and the Baked Ziti was very dry. Both were lacking in Flavor. Delivery was on time and the person who took the orders was very nice though. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

    mm mm good

I must say that having an italian restaurant that you can actually sit in and enjoy a meal in East Harlem (Raos most dont have this option) is wonderful. Food both in and delivered is hot and flavorful. When dining in, the atmosphere transports you back to Italy and when you get food delivered the food is just as good as if you've eaten in. I remember ordering ice cream to go and it came with the glass and all. I was so astonished and it was so good. Now I hear they have another site on 118 Street and 5th avenue. I wish them all the best and keep up the good work.

    Italian delight in "El Barrio"

I absolutely love Piatto d'Oro. The restaurant is intimate and the owner and staff are friendly. It's easy to forget you're in New York. I feel as if I've been transported to Rome or Naples. The food is very good. I had the veal parmesan and I didn't even need a knife. The meat was so tender I could cut it with a fork. The garlic bread is great and I can honestly say I haven't had a dish there that I didn't enjoy. Try the carpaccio di polpo... thinly sliced marinated octopus which is absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable.

    What a charmer!

I have passed this restaurant many times since it's across the street from the entrance to the last car wash on the east side. I always liked the look. Tonight I finally tried it and it was wonderful. The service was very friendly and quick. I ordered the little 'pizzette' and it was ultra-thin and delicious. Then, my veal dish was piping hot and served with a vegetable assortment that was freshly cooked and really good. Topped off with a glass of Montepulciano and all in all, an excellent experience. By the time I got back down to the Upper East Side, I was real glad I ate uptown at this unpretentious and delicious restaurant. And the welcome and on-the-house garlic bread is delicious, too. I can't speak for the delivery, but eating there was a great experience.

    First time order- Very satisfied

Ordered delivery from here for the first time last night. Skeptical due to some of the reviews, but I was completely satisfied. Expectations exceeded. Delivery came in literally 11 minutes, piping hot and fresh. Ordered two different pasta dishes (penne alla vodka w/ chicken and linguine alfredo w/ chicken) both were excellent and portions were large enough that we each saved half our dish for lunch the next day. Order came blazingly fast, hot , and tasty, with bread and parmesan cheese as requested. Will definitely order from here again.
