exceptional
I have been eating Gino's food since I was a kid and he had Siracusa which then became Briscola and then Bussola with his brother Enzo. Anyway, his food is some of the best in the city and his ice cream is the best outside of Italy...yes the best I have had in America! Expect to wait...Gino's approach is straight out of a small village in Italy. Nothing is rushed. But it's worth the wait. Some of the best restaurants in NY STILL buy ther gelato from him. Trust me on this. Ciao, Gianluca

The Real Thing
Great selection of foods. Don't miss the grilled calamari, bacala fritters, pastas and especially Gino's gelato. His gelato is probably the best in the city, now in Brooklyn. This location is new, but they are old hands at fine and inventive Italian dining. You can have the standard stuff, or very, very good Sicilian cusine. Bravo Gino !

Wonderful new gem in Brooklyn
I just came home from my first meal at Piattini and it was wonderful. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of authentic flavors including salad, fritti, pastas and most of all THE BEST GELATO I EVER HAD! The servers are so nice and friendly, the chef actually came out and personally said hello to us along with the owner. The prices can't be beat - the menu and food reminded me of "Intoteca" in the city but at half the price and none of the attitude. I will defintely eat here again and it was worth the trip. Did I mention the cassata gelato is insanely good?
