Good place to come and hang out with your laptop
I've been to this place twice. Once for coffee and once for lunch. Both times the service was so-so. You get the feeling that they forget about you. In fact the "Oh yea" I got when I went to the counter was key indication. The drip coffee wasn't so great but the latte was good. I had the veggie burger which was grilled and not fried (just the way I like it). Overall its a great place to go to hang out, but dont expect too much.

Hipsterrific
The food was decent but the service was poor. I think the staff thought they were too good to wait tables.

Best brunch
Phoebe's is the perfect neighboorhood cafe redone; a calm, relaxing atmosphere with delicious food, the neighboorhood faces, and good values. Best of all, the food is all very good for you, without losing any of the flavor. It took me 3 or 4 visits to realize that the menu is completely California vegetarian (fish, no meat), without missing anything. Highly recommend the hummus platter, brie and apple sandwich, waffles with banana and walnuts and tuna "sammy." Service can be a little slow, but the wait staff prepares the food, and I'll gladly wait a few extra minutes.
