We went here for a friend's birthday. Delicious food, great service. We were all very impressed with the whole experience.

Welcome to philippe hurry up and eat
I had dinner here with my wife and sister in law , we had 7pm reservations but called to say we would be a little late we arrived at 7:20 and were told by the hostess that our table was ready but they would need it back by 9pm.Welcome to the world of trendy new york dining, where not only do they not care about your experience they want you out before you've even had one. My first instinct was to leave but my wife and I had been looking foward to eating here so we stayed, not really concerned about any time limit . once we were seated we ordered drinks and appetizers which were very good , for the main course my sister in law and i had the peking duck which was pretty big and very tasty , my wife had prawns which she enjoyed very much. dessert was nothing special . The restaurant itself is very nice and on a saturday night it's a mixture of hipsters, wannabe's craving attention, and some older wealthy looking people sprinkled in,I would reccomend a visit ,but probably just one.

Yum
I went here for the first time on a date and I was impressed. The decor was fabulous, food was amazing and the service was terrific. The only thing is that one of the waiters makes you feel kinda rushed when trying to decide what to eat. but not really a big deal. Overall I loved the experience!

Great New Chow!
I don't know who's writing these negative reviews. The place is an obvious winner. The atmosphere is is serene and sleek and tastefully decorated. The food is absolutely delicious. The lichido cocktails were perfect. The jade dumplings and singapore handmade noodles were so good we ordered seconds to take home. And the crunchy duck salad was totally unique. Don't listen to the naysayers. The place rocks.

Excellent
Any bad review for this restaurant had to come from someone upset about the old Chows losing all their regulars... Bottom line, delicious but loaded with oil and definitley a welcome new scene to replace that cramped room on 57th...

Disappointed
I haven't been so disappointed with a meal for a long time. The vegetable dumpling with the skin coming off when it was served, the filling has no taste at all (which is even more disappointing because they claim to have a noodle and dumpling chef), vegetable lettuce wrap was too salty, although it would not have made much difference with the tastless hard tofu and chopped vegetables. Sweet and sour halibut was overcooked piece of fish, soaked in an orange/reddish sauce with only one taste: sweet. Beijing chicken was well soaked in oil with a few piece of token walnut that again, had most of its weight in sauce. Sorry to be so different from other reviewers, but this is my honest opinion.

You'll like it
It's a total copy of Mr Chow's - menu, waiters, attitude included. But the prices seem slightly lower and the decor is very sleek. You'd be hard pressed not to enjoy the food and atmosphere.
