    Best Chicken Satay!

I've been to Philippe several times and the service has never been anything to rave about. Although the crowd at Philippe can be pretentious at times, the chicken satay and fried seaweed keep me coming back, sad but true. PS stay away from the white prawns!

Buffet Steam Table Food Is Better...

Rarely have I experienced a restaurant that serves such poor quality food, matched by outrageous, even offensive prices. Starting with the $18 "jade dumplings" that were flavorless, hard and without life, to the fried rice that was drowned in slippery soy sauce. The kicker was the 9 season spicey shrimp: it reminded one of the worst of chinese buffet steam table fare: chewy batter, unappealing presentation, accomplishing the ultiate over-cooked yet underdone dish that one struggles to understand how it ever made its way out of the kitchen. This place is to be avoided - or else it will cost you!

    Delicious!

Chicken Satay, Lettuce Wraps, Bass, Prawns, Fried Rice, String Beans and a Chocolate Cake with homemade Ice Cream on top absolutely delicious!

    Rip-off

Outrageously expensive with mediocre Chinese food and unprofessional service. A great disappointment.

    hardly a bargain

lured by a favorable blog that praised the $20.10 lunch bargain, we took a chance. Big mistake! A very attractive and comfortable room. The menu looked promising. Alas, nothing approached what iIimagine Chinese fare might have been in 1950's Wyoming. Agent orange is the theme of the food. A hot and sour soup had decent flavor but was overwhelmed by cornstarch. Chicken satay required sunglasses to look at and a state of extreme hunger to eat.. Both entrees: crispy beef and a chicken affair were little more than fried dough. The beef must have been albino beef. Desert was equally uninspired: a pallid, insipid white peach sorbet. The Illy coffee hardly tasted like Illy. All around us, perhaps wiser souls were ordering a la carte at several times the price of our ghastly fare. The food appeared better, but what wouldn't be. Suffice to say this so-called prix fixe is something to be avoided.

    Disappointing

Tourist Trap! I'm a foodie living in NYC for many years and had a craving for good chinese which I eat once a year lately. This restaurant was so disappointing from the moment we sat down. Quality of food was below par not what you'd expect at a high end restaurant.

    Not recommended

We tried it a few months ago and figured we would give it another chance last week. It didn't get better You're seated like cattle, unable to carry a convo. The service is inexperienced and some are just snotty. The food is mediocre at best but definately not worth the price. Our salad was beginning to wilt and lacked any zing and the chicken was dry and overcooked. The biggest ripoff is the bar. Watered down drinks using cheap vodka and charging top dollar.
