dining out in west village
it was a saturday night so we accepted waiting an hour to be seated. Started well, our waiter was pleasant and attentive. the food though was not brilliant, but acceptable. the wine, although chosen from the wine list was awful. we finished with coffees

It's 'eh'
Food is pedestrian and heavy handedly prepared. Hunter Stew is really soup with a piece or two of meat. Artichoke served loaded with couscous(?) and tasteless. Fried green tomatoes heavy and unremarkable. Service was spotty. Need to be tried during week

Great Brunch Spot

Wen to Philip Marie last year for New Years and it was a terrible experience. Food was ok, but there are so many options in NYC, spend your money somewhere that will treat you with respect. I made a reservation for a large party weeks in advance. Af
