Happy Hour!
Phebe's has some of the best bar food. Happy Hour is a great time to go for half price drinks and appetizers. Which is great because the appetizers are the best things on the menu!

Perfect happy hour spot
I organized a happy hour for a bunch of friends....and stupidly picked a place across the street that didn't even have happy hour specials! (Starts with a "B" and has a really great patio - now I know which is only for dining, not a bar scene). Thankfully, Phebe's was right there and it was perfect. Half off all drinks from 4-8....except the last drink I got was at like, 7:58 and they charged me full price....not cool. All apps were half off too and they were Delish, we gobbled the nachos in 2 minutes. Big space too; it was full but didn't feel overly crowded. I'd definitely go back.

darn decent lunchspot
The place is large enough that us business lunchers don't feel cramped or worry that we'll be overheard. Bonus factor in that they have great sports coverage. Try the black jack burger, it's a feat of deliciousness. On the more healthy side, the roasted veggie panini kicks several kinds of ass. Only one thing: wish the beers were cheaper. Otherwise, it nice enough that I can say we've never been disappointed there.

Good Food - Fake Specials
The food is good, the service is good and the Sox are always on. However, when the menu says 2 for 1 burgers what they mean is: 2 for 1 burgers if you order the classic burger and share a plate and only get one side, no toppings. This does not get mentioned until you get your bill and it is double what you expected. Too bad.

Beer $$$
Phebe's is a large spot and great for watching a game. While I recall some good specials I went yesterday for Sunday Night Football and was told that they do not serve pitchers unless it is a Mon or Wed I believe. I should have known something was up when I saw how empty the place was. I ordered 3 Yeungling's for my friends...$7 each + tax for a generic beer? Normally I pay cash and tip $1 per but when I saw the $23+ tab for three beers I was mortified. Other bars are offering specials, they are raising prices. Too bad, their food is pretty good and most of the waitstaff has been very pleasant.

Awesome Wings
The barbeque wings are the best. It makes your mouth water. You can't have it without a pitcher of beer.

Good Times
My favorite bar in Manhattan, hands down. I've never had anything but a great time here. The staff is friendly, the food and atmosphere is great, and the bartender is hot as hell. What more could you want? Saturday nights are the best, but Friday's are also fun. They play great music and the clientel is laid back. There is something for everyone at Phebe's.
