Disappointed
Perhaps I've been spoiled from my dining experiences in Brussels, but I was totally underwhelmed by the food here. The atmosphere is kind of poorly lit and it felt, for lack of a more apt word, damp. The service was fine, and the beer is good. But there are better places, some in the immediate area(you probably know which one I'm referring to).

Great Mussels, Great Beer, Great Service!
Went last night for all you can eat mussels. Mussels were great, all of the sauces were awesome, especially the curry with apple. Beer selection was great mix of belgian beers. Service was excellent, including great recommendations for beer. Will definitely go back.

Good coffee & service on a busy Saturday
Stopped in on a busy Saturday for coffee and pastry - both were excellent. The waffles looked amazing, as did the other food we saw being served. We were not rushed in/out and our server was friendly and attentive. The only "complaint" is that the loud music is really unnecessary, turn it down and play something French (?) - oldies really didn't fit the atmosphere.

Back in Belgium
I went here with a few friends who, like me, had been to Belgium in the past year. We were craving a "fix" and Petite Abeille filled the bill. Everything we had - mussels in white wine, mussels provencal, salads, vegetable tart, cod (special), braised lamb shank, french fries (of course) and Chimay beer, were delicious. (The menu is varied enough to please even the non-Belgian fans.) The staff was accomodating, splitting an entree onto two plates for easier sharing. The bread was used for mopping up the fantastic sauces. The atmosphere - with Tintin comics galore, was charming and low key. The prices were more than reasonable. Will definitely go back.

Wonderful Tuesday night in the garden
Had a fantastic meal with a few friends in the peaceful patio in the back. We loved the service and the food. The value was even better, as they were having a 1/2 price bottle of wine night that Tuesday. Maybe it is every Tuesday. Brought these friends from out of town and they still want to come back for a great summer meal outdoors with a couple nicely priced bottles of wine. Recommended.
