Amazing food, service and setting!
This is one of my favorite restaraunts in new york city. I no longer live in manhattan but still make it my mission to go to Petaluma as often as I can. In fact, I'm going tonite and also having my bridal shower there! The staff is so friendly and gets to know the regulars, the food is amazing (their chicken specials are phenomenol) and the inside is so big you never feel cramped. Come in the summer time and enjoy the outside seating which is actually quiet and peaceful since its on 73rd street. Petaluma is great, I highly recommend!

Amazing Pasta, Pizza
I don't know who rated this before me, but this restaurant is one of the best in New York. I have been going for more than 20 years and have never eaten anything even subpar. The pesto sauce and the primavera are among the best in NYC. The wood-fire pizza is delicious. AND, the staff are incredibly friendly. Petaluma is a must go!

A reliable neighborhood place
I live in the neighborhood and have visited here often over the years. The food is always well prepared and ample, the variety is good and service attentive. They also have the most comfortable chairs around.

What a severe disappointment!
It looks pleasant from the outside, but don't go in. Waiters appear to be doing you a favor by taking your order and slapping down the second-rate food in front of you. Everyone at our table was disappointed. If you're spending Petaluma prices, you can find much better food and atmosphere in New York. The wine prices are much too high, as well.

Very good neighborhood Italian
A very solid neighborhood place to eat. Would go with another couple if you didn't want to spend too much and don't feel like heading downtown. Will cost about $70-$80 a couple. Good delivery and baby friendly too.
