    So disappointed...

Been going to Petaluma for 20 years. Rest. needed updating but now it serves small portions for a lot of money. Trying to be something it is not. If the food was delicious, would be ok. Food is not good, and portions are small. Service is haphazard at best. Have been there twice w/husband and vowed never to try it again. We live across the street so why not go there? Because it's a huge disappointment.

I went with a friend very recently and we were shocked of how great the food was. The service was perfect and the portions large. If you want the whole bronzino they cook in a wood buring overn you will be shocked by the quality and taste. The appetizer of eggplant parmagian was so good the person eating stated he never had better and you could not convince him it was eggplant . The portion of the eggplant was plenty for two but great for one because you will not want to share it after tasting it.i had the brussel sprout salad. You will not beleive what the chef does to it (over the top) so i can only tell you to order it if you like brusselsprouts like i do. If you went when Petaluma first opend you must give it another chance because it is a massive difference and you will be shocked!

I came to Petaluma for a date last weekend and the experience was incredible. The service was great, and the food was amazing. The chicken parm was the best I've had in New York. I can't wait to go back!

    Surprisingly Awesome

One of my friends recently had dinner @ Petaluma and strongly advised me to check out. I was shocked how solid the service and food was. They definitely got over the opening kinks as I prevously heard. The pizza was solid, chicken parm was good, Udon Carbonara was fantastic. If youre in the area, definitely make this a stop.

    Great Dinner

Our family met here last night (Sun) for a family celebration for the holidays. We all enjoyed our dinner very much. Thanks

    Yes, disappointing

Very dissappointed. We ordered the "special" appetizer, clams casino , only to be told 15 minutes later that they ran out. And this was on a prime Saturday night. After another 10 minutes, we were told they ran out of sea scallops. The veal parm was dry, no sauce, and the linguini was like mush with ragu sauce. Need I say more??

The food was mediocre and the service inconsistent. The waiter stopped by twice saying that he would be right back and then disappeared for quite a bit. The bread took forever to come out, as did the appetizers. Although as soon as the apps were placed in front of us, the waiter was back asking if they were ok. We responded by saying we'll let him know once we get the food in our mouths. It makes me uncomfortable to see the staff huddled together in the dining room while i'm eating, as they were last night. The chef came to our table asking about the food. He seems sincere about putting out good product but he's trying too hard to be trendy. He should focus more on keeping it simple. Right now the food is forgettable. Overall a disappointing experience.
