I liked this place...first time here. The staff is very friendly, could have been more attentive and the tables could have been a little further apart. The black linguine with shrimp and spicy tomato sauce was fabulous. The veal was tasty too, plus they give you a lot. Prices were avg for NYC.. Also a plus...they had the Yankees game on.

We had 7 people with no reservations and they seated us immediately which was terrific. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes (black linguini, clam linguini with white sauce, chicken penne with vodka sauce, cheesecake, fruit tart). We ordered some apps too. The calamari sauce was quite spicy …the prosciutto/melon was very tasty and fresh and bruschetta toppings were delish (needed more bread). I had the lobster linguini which was had fresh lobster, very yummy. We ordered a bottle of white wine which was pretty good (Pinot Grigio). They didn’t check in with us too often, but you could flag down a waiter. They serve either wheat or white bread in the beginning too. I would go back.

Great Restaurant for a date or a group.

The prices were not too high for the neighborhood, but the food was not the greatest. Here is where my personal taste comes into play: I had the linguine bolognese and it was swarming with onions. To me, it was overkill. But for someone who doesn't mind onions, perhaps they would find it more enjoyable.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The food is reliably good, the wine list offers great selection, and the servers are always friendly and quick. I highly recommend the homemade tiramisu on the dessert menu, which is some of the best I've ever had. Ask for a table upstairs on the balcony overlooking 2nd avenue. If you're dining late in the evening in the summer, it can't be beat for atmosphere. One downside about eating here is that it tends to get very loud inside the restaurant when they're busy and sometimes it can be difficult to carry on conversation.

a step above the surrounding irish pubs/bars! this is a nice italian/seafood place that is great for the neighborhood. service can be spotty but overall we enjoy this restaurant.

Went there this past saturday with a group of 11 people. We made reservations so there was no wait. They sat us upstairs which was nice because it was more private and quiet. None of us really ate anything exceptionally good but it's pretty decent food for a good value. I shared a dish called Linguine Pescatore - it says on the menu that it's for two people but almost everyone in our party had a plateful. We requested a white wine/clam sauce instead of the marinara. The best part was definitely this strawberry cheesecake-like dessert. The service was decent - I wouldn't mind going back especially when it gets warmer because they have this balcony upstairs where you can eat.
