Will come again
You need to make reservations or come early for dinner 'cause it gets crowded. The fried calamari were tender morsels with a thin crispy crust. A must try. Another dish to order was the penne alla vodka which was simply delicious. The NY steak was served exactly how I ordered it - medium rare. Our waiter was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable, overall a very good restaurant experience.

fun atmosphere
We went here because the restaurant across the way could not accommodate us. But to our surprise, it was excellent. It was so nicely decorated for the holidays. The atmosphere was just so much fun. There were 4 of us who shared a few appitizers, including the forest hills flatbread- AWESOME, extra spicy and delicious. Then we each had a pasta dish, that were all quite good! I had the Cod livernaise, that was excellent! A fun place to go especially over the holidays!

pleasantly pleased
we were walking around, new to the neighborhood and decided to try Pescatore. What a pleasant surprise. It was very affordable and the food was excellent. We were hoping for a neighbood place that we can frequent, and i think this is one of the spots we will return! We shared a delicious appetizer of bruscetta sampler and each order the fish of the day- baramunda- very very good. we will be back!

local and loving it.
I have been before, but have not returned for a while. I went with 2 girlsfriends and forgot how wonderful this local Italian place was. I felt that the wines were reasonably priced and the dinner was excellent. We had some bruscetta and calamari for apps, very good. Then all 3 of us shared a dish Pescatore for 2- it was a large amt of seafood and very delicious! we had a wonderful cheesecake for dessert. Definitely a good local spot that i will return to.

Awesome, underrated brunch spot
My wife and I live a few blocks from Pescatore and have had brunch here on numerous occasions. We both think Pescatore is one of the best brunch spots in the city. The menu is diverse, so there are a lot of breakfast and lunch types of items. Between us we've had at least seven things from the brunch menu and have never been disappointed. The quality is terrific, the portion size is ample, and the prices are great. I have never left hungry, and have never been the least bit upset with what I've ordered. This restaurant is typically viewed as an Italian restaurant for dinner, but definitely give it a try for Saturday and Sunday brunch- I promise you will not be disappointed.

Not recommended
Went in, randomly, on the town with a friend of mine. Sit down to look at the menu and notice the pasta of the day. As a vegetarian, I asked to please make sure there is no meat in the pasta. I was falsely reassured that there wouldn't be. Upon receiving my food, I noticed the food tasted funny. Attributing it to an inorderate amount of pepper, I ignored it and kept eating. However, after finishing my food, my friend, also a vegetarian, started spitting out her food. Upon closer inspection the food contained sausage! After I had specifically made it clear to them that this could not be. Upon speaker to the waiter the hostess came over (manager?) and asked us what was wrong. After explaining to her what happened, she had the nerve to ask me "well, you didn't taste the sausage?!" I've never eaten sausage in my life, forget the fact that I'm a vegetarian, I could have been allergic. Initally, the "manager" offered to pay for the pasta, as a way to make ammends. Eventually she realised she needed to comp our food, but only after we protested. The whole ordeal was ridiclous. While the waiter blamed everything on the cook staff, this will remain one of the greater mysteries of the world.
