Mediocre
Went for lunch and had $26 pre fixe, which is a great deal. Unfortunately, however, 1 out of my 2 courses and both of my partner's courses weren't particularly good. I had crab dumplings, which were very good, and chicken, which was dry and over salted. Partner had avocado carpaccio and rice bowl, both of which were over seasoned. Desserts were very good. Services was good and room is nice, but overall it was a very forgettable dining experience. Would not recommend or go back.

Ehhh
I expected so much more based on glowing reviews from friends. Admittedly, I only had the experience of a restaurant week menu (which provides very limited choice). But none of the 3 courses truly excited. Least of all the main course which was a rather bland piece of salmon. While I can't claim that it was bad, I cannot honestly say that my dinner was all that satisfying or memorable.

A Birthday to Remember
My husband took me here for my birthday this year. Its one downfall was that it was difficult to get to. But the food was so delicious it made up for it. The amuse bouche was something I can't remember, fennel ginger maybe, anyways it was fantastic. The crab salad was fresh and the shallot vinaigrette provided a tangy contrast. My husband seemed to enjoy the tuna. The snapper with sesame and shitakes was sublime. The service was good, perhaps a bit rushed. One of my new favorite restaurants.

Fantastic!
Came for an early dinner on a rainy night (which was a feat in itself given it's location), but it was worth the trip. Took advantage of the $35 prix fixe menu, and I have to say it is one of the best deals in town. Flawlessly executed and interesting food. Will definately be back!

Does Jean Georges know what's going on here?
Walking in to brunch the place felt totally deserted. We sat down anyway because we are Jean Georges devotees and wanted to give Perry St. a try. We were very optimistic! I'll start with the food. It tasted like it had been pre-prepared the day before and microwaved. I got the sauteed shrimp with the baby artichokes and lemon "emulsion." It tasted old and stale. And the emulsion tasted like it something I imagine you might get on a sandwich at a chain restaurant. We also got the pea soup. Sick. Not in a good way. Next, the service. Appalling. First of all, there were too many waiters for not enough patrons and they were actually standing around in the middle of the restaurant, horsing around, punching each other and acting like a bunch of frat boys! At a JEAN GEORGES establishment. Next, they brought our food when not everyone was seated. It couldn't have gotten much colder than the room temperature it already was, so I guess they realized that. Finally, my guest was SO uncomfortable about two waiters who kept eyeing her, trying to look down her shirt when they would bring over water, and just making her so uneasy, we got up and left. This place is a desecration to all that Jean Georges has built and hopefully he will work on it before it's absolutely destroyed.

looks like a real estate investment/sales office
The overall look of the restaurant is very odd-does not look like a restaurant, rather like a sales office for a condominium or something. The food was disappointing. We had the $30 fried poached egg with caviar and vodka cream which i ordered bc I thought it would be like the original at jean georges, but was not. Greasy and bland- and a total waste. Amuse bouches was salty and unpalatable. The tomato soup was also salty and bad. The cod entree was mediocre at best with a strange concoction of mushed avocados with black beans-like mexican food. Lobster was the only redeeming part of the meal, but how can you go wrong with lobster? With a drink each, and a glass of wine with dinner, bill was around $230 for dinner for two. Also, service was slow and casual when we were one of the only patrons of the night. For the amount of money you will be coughing up for this place, go to the original-Jean Georges. Vong is not half bad too.

Worth Skipping Lunch
It was a busy day at work and before I knew it, lunch time was over. So, after skipping lunch, I decided on a early dinner. I had read about Perry Street's $35 prix fixe dinner served until 6:30 p.m. so I decided to stop in for dinner before heading home for the evening. And I am sure glad I did! I was greeted warmly and escorted to my table where I could relax watching the sunset over the Hudson River. Four coures of splendid food were served to me in a friendly, pleasant, professional manner. I was expecting small protions for the price, but all four courses were more than ample and delicious. I was compeltely sated after dinner. I am hesitant to write this review after my meal fearing more will pick up on it and I won't be able to get a table! One of the best, most delicioius values in town! I may skip lunch more often!
