Dec, 27,2007 Nasty Night in the city weather wise turned around .Arrived earlier than scheduled ,to be seated within minutes , very lucky because of the buzz about Harolds place.Everything from the Spicy Duck Meaballs , Roasted Brussels Sprouts,Sea Bass, Frozen Chocolate Mousse and those were the selection I ordered ( I tried alittle of everyone elses), after dinner drinks and coffee. Our table of 8 could not have been happier . Service Impecible! Comfortable atmosphere. All for a great price as well .Can't wait to return.

The first thing I liked was the reception ladies - they were nice and smiled and seemed happy that we came. The rest of the staff was equally friendly which is not common in NYC. The food was unusual but delicious. I had the days special - Crispy Duck Tongue as an appetizer and Tile Fish as an Entree. Both very yummy. My friend had Duck with Pomegranate... highly recomendable. But the highlight were the desserts... the Panna Cotta was unusual but very flavourful and the Frozen Chocolate Mouse with Marshmallows was heavenly. And the best thing, we were not thrown out after dinner but were allowed to have a very nice relaxing conversation over coffee. Definitely one of the best dining experinces I had in NY.

Went on a thursday night. Food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. Would highly recommend just for a great meal or if you are a top chef fan. We spotted Harold in the dining room several times. Thanks Harold! We will be back soon.

Came her on a Wednesday night with a group of 4. We got seated right away. The service was just ok - our waitress had 8 tables so she was a little too busy to check up on us. We tasted 6 items on the menu.The food was very good, but not as amazing as the reviews make it sound. I actually think the sides were tastier than the entrees. I guess it depends on what you are used to, but with so many fabulous restaurants in the city, this didn't really stand out. It was nice going once but I don't think I'll be going back. The best part of the whole meal was the little oatmeal raisin cookies they served with the check!

Seriously, I went in there with some expectations knowing that the restaurant is owned by a top chef winner. First of all, the service is great: no rush, very down-to-earth, understanding, and approachable staffs (no pretense whatsoever). Food is very good: creative but not over the top-ly creative, yet is still very well cooked. It was overall one of the best dining experience I've had in New York and I do try out at a lot of restaurants. I will definitely be back for more!

It could've been possible the the Top Chef hype would not deliver, but guess what it totally does. Finally a new restaurant that does it right. Had the turkey meatballs, outstanding. Hangar Steak and 1 of the specials for the main course(John Dori). Run don't walk to this place.

We recently had brunch at Perilla. While dinner there is quite the fabulous gourmand occassion, brunch is a lot more casual, with simpler yet still delicious foods, no trouble getting a table and a couple of Harold sightings.
