poorest service in nyc
after giving this restaurant two chances i have to give up. nearly every table waited an obscene amount of time for drinks/food etc. They gave our appetizer to the table next to us and realized it about an hour later when we told them we never received our hummus. It is such a beautiful space but I almost felt sick at the thought that we wasted so much money on such an poor night... every customer in this place seemed upset

Poor experience
Very disappointing quality of service. Despite the nice setting, this is by far the poorest dining experience I have had in Manhattan. Be ready to wait for 90 minutes to get an appetizer, a drink or the attention of the waiter. A kind word, an explanation or the simplest apology are not part of the management culture here.

Not recommended
Without question the most unacceptable experience I've ever experienced at a restaurant. We sat for 1 full hour without being served a single morsel of food. After ordering numerous appetizers as there were 6 of us and several entrees highly recommended by our erratic and confused waiter. We sat and sat and sat waiting and waiting. After 25 minutes with a 75 dollar of average wine our only item served. Our waiter informmed us that 4 out of 6 entrees he so highly recommended were not available. We proceeded to order less desirable substitutes. After 30 more minutes had passed and now 1 full hour into our footless adventure we still had not received any food not even a simple hummus plate, salad or any other appetizer. I asked to see the manager and was met by a surly inexperienced and completely unprofessional young woman who asked what the problem might be. I politely told her what I'm sure the waiter had advised her of already and asked for a check covering the wine. She obliged, no apology no nothing.

The best newcomer soho has seen since mercer kitchen
Still under soft-opening phase, we came across this restaurant on Thompson Street by chance. Entrance is via the beautiful garden which I can imagine will be so happening come Springtime. Warm and welcoming interior with a striking mural of a tram car in the dining room. We shared a few apps - the smoked eggplant, the spicy crushed walnut and pepper dip served with crispy grape leaves (cannot recall name), the tuna tartare and the salad. All very tasty and carefully prepared. I had the marinated sliced sirloin steak as entree and my wife the pan roasted chicken, wow to both. Chicken was especially moist and tender with perfectly crisp skin, very well executed. Good range of wines, but cocktail list was under development. Didnt have room for dessert this time but the kadayfi shredded filo dessert that spent a mere 3 minutes on table next to ours looks like a must try for next time. Great addition to the neighborhood.
