Despite reading some poor reviews on menupages, I tried this restaurant this week because it got better reviews more recently on other sites. To begin with, the patio is beautiful, the bar and restaurant areas are stunning and even the restrooms have quaint details. The service was perfect. They took our order, we waited no more than 5-10 min. for our drinks and a 5-10 more for our starters. The starters were generously portioned and they also brought delicious olive bread with two dips. The entrees came out well timed afterwards, as did desserts. The waiters were available when we needed more water or drinks, despite the restaurant filling up as the evening went on. I would definitely recommend Pera Soho, and return.

after giving this restaurant two chances i have to give up. nearly every table waited an obscene amount of time for drinks/food etc. They gave our appetizer to the table next to us and realized it about an hour later when we told them we never received our hummus. It is such a beautiful space but I almost felt sick at the thought that we wasted so much money on such an poor night... every customer in this place seemed upset

Very disappointing quality of service. Despite the nice setting, this is by far the poorest dining experience I have had in Manhattan. Be ready to wait for 90 minutes to get an appetizer, a drink or the attention of the waiter. A kind word, an explanation or the simplest apology are not part of the management culture here.

Without question the most unacceptable experience I've ever experienced at a restaurant. We sat for 1 full hour without being served a single morsel of food. After ordering numerous appetizers as there were 6 of us and several entrees highly recommended by our erratic and confused waiter. We sat and sat and sat waiting and waiting. After 25 minutes with a 75 dollar of average wine our only item served. Our waiter informmed us that 4 out of 6 entrees he so highly recommended were not available. We proceeded to order less desirable substitutes. After 30 more minutes had passed and now 1 full hour into our footless adventure we still had not received any food not even a simple hummus plate, salad or any other appetizer. I asked to see the manager and was met by a surly inexperienced and completely unprofessional young woman who asked what the problem might be. I politely told her what I'm sure the waiter had advised her of already and asked for a check covering the wine. She obliged, no apology no nothing.
