Per Se

I found my experience disappointing and the highlight was the kitchen tour at the end of the meal. The food overal did not meat my expectations and not a single dish was memorable. I did not like the use of granita in multiple dishes, given the missing flavor. One dish was overpowered by a buttery sauce. I have had the pleasure to dine at Momofuko, Eleven Madison, Daniel, Le Bernadin, Jean Georges, ABC Kitchen (and many more) in the last six months and this was truly the only place where I did not like a single dish. Maybe the ideas are good (again, I say maybe) but the execution was not that good. We had good wine and the bill was as high as expected but I still do not understand that there are so many supplmenary costs on the menu: my food ended up costing $45o (two $75 supplements); yes, you don't have to get it but I would expect them to create dishes for the base price without that horrendeous mark-up. Atmosphere was nice, view is awesome and staff was very nice overall. I had great expectations but unfortunately did not have the food to match it. I would rate food equivalent to Ecole in Soho.

I have loved every single item of the experience we had at this marvelous place. when I read some reviews I wonder if they were written by an enemy. revenge?envy?answering yes I can understand them.

I am a fan of their food, but not pleased with their service every time I go there. Firstly, the reps on the phone always have attitude. I feel like saying something every time I call to make a reservation. And at the latest dinner, when the waiter was pouring champagne into my glass, he spilled onto my purse. He definitely looked down and saw it, but didn't say anything! There are more unpleasant experiences. Staff's attitude is really important for me. It influences my experience at the restaurant. So, after about 5 times of dining there, I am very hesitant to go back.

Great excellent food complex. One of a kind presentations and service of the highest order. We were very pleased with all we were treated too. Yes a bit on the $$$$ but worth it for a special occasion.

I came here with a relative who said she "just HAD to try it" Well, I must say, although the wait staff seemed nice, and the room is pretty (if a little dull?), I would have been happier with an appie, an entree and mashed potatoes, and a pudding based dessert. I mean this meal just went on and on! And each portion was small! When the first course arrived and I told the waiter it looked small he just said wait there was a lot ahead. Well, I don't see why they didn't just group the food on a larger plate. My relative loved it, but I left wanting more. Good things she paid!!!

This place truly lives up to everything you hear. Our waiter, Matt was amazing! We even toured the kicthen after our meal. Course after course of tastings just make this a very memorable night. My only regret is not doing the $100 supplement for the truffle pasta.
