We had my daughter's birthday party today and I was upset and disappointed at the restaurant. We chose the place because we love the decor. However, the quality of services and planning process logistics need major improvement. Below are my experiences and opinions: 1) planning: A) there are inconsistency of certain terms between the restaurant owner and event manager. B) it is strange that there is no written agreement. 2) Logistics: most of the places will have couple days follow up email / confirmation. However, i have to double check and confirm details. 3) Day of Services: a) no water is served to the guests: some of my guests had to go outside the restaurant to buy bottles of water. To me, this is embarrassing after spending the amount of money that we did. b) no staff greeted my guests and coatcheck for them. Most of my guests do not know where the coatcheck is. c) rude staff: refuse to serve my guests soda/ coffee as it may not be part of our initial agreement. It could have been better handled if the staff had spoken to me first to decide on how to proceed. d) not enough food: frankly, my husband and guests arrived late did not have eat much because no food left. e) Wrong Bill: The owner refused to admit that his staff mis-caculated the headcount. As a freelance event planner, i have dealt with a lot different venues. With the competition in NYC restaurant business, i am not sure how long the restaurant will last. There are plenty of other choices to host an event, go somewhere else!

Was expecting a lot more from this place. Ambiance was nice but food fell WAY short of what I consider acceptable for this price. All of the meat dishes were overcooked. Appetizers were mediocre at best and the Georgian wine lacked body. $310 for 4 people after tax and tip for a meal that really disappointed... Save your money and go to Brooklyn for a real Russian/Georgian meal.

Went using a discount coupon. Food was more than ample in quantity but only of average taste. Georgian wines were interesting. Waitress was not attentive. She never even asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. She was too busy texting. After waiting an inordinate amount of time, we only got our check by having my spouse leave the table and go upstairs (where the waitress was texting). Borderline value even with the coupon.
