excellent chicken milanese
Delicious, crisp chicken topped with salad greens and tomatoe..... and extra lemon. The complimentary bread was amazingly soft and delicious and actually notable.

Not just pasta
Arguably best in Chicken Milanese in town. With arugula and salsa rosa. Just like they make it in Milano.

Hasn't lost a step
I've been dining in and getting delivery from Pepe Verde for over 10 years and the food and service is as good now as it was then. Ask about their specials (not listed on menu). The chefs also take special requests not on the menu with no fuss. Can't do better for the price as well.

Bad for delivery
For the last six orders we placed on delivery, they managed to forget something. Each time we called to let them know that they made a mistake and we paid for food we didn't receive and they assured us that they would make up for it on the next order. And for every subsequent order they forgot something else. We like the food, but we don't like the fact that we overpay by around $10 on each order.

It is the best at what it is.
The food is delicious, once you know what you like there. truffled air cured beef arugula salad drizzled with balsalmic olive oil and lots of lemon juice! Oh and I nearly forgot.... goat cheese. Are you kidding me? I have eaten at nearly all the top restaurants in this city and there are some stellar items on this menu. And if you live in the West Village and don't feel like spending a lot on eating, but still want to eat well, this and Taim are it. So any criticisms are silly, just silly. If you don't love it, put in a little more effort and enjoy a this quaint place in the village.
