    small but endearing

I visited after giving PePe a rest and visited on a Tuesday as always crowded we got a seat for two and I first have to say I LOVE the bread! I ordered my favorite Penne with Spinach and Ricotta. The spinach was tough like chewing leather, I didn't make a big stink because it ruins the whole dinning experience for the other person. These places turn around for chefs are unpredictable, so I will give PePe another chance my friend had eggplant she loved it!

Great food, good delivery. Good service. No diet pepsi! lol

so go ahead, ask for Diet Pepsi!! its kind of funny! Great place. food is hot, fast delivery, you get what you want. Proportions are always different. I can eat like 2 bowls of pasta some days, and others barely get through 1. Otherwise, great place. I havent actually been "inside" but it seems like a great place everytime I call its busy and they get it here in less then 20-30 minutes everytime! Good work, Pepe!

    Excellent

Great food, rustic, nice people. I don't know what else one needs in a restaurant in NYC. Skip the "real" italian bs in the rest of Manhattan-this is the real deal.

    Love this place!

I come here at least once a week for lunch and have tried a large portion of the menu. I've found it to be consistently delicious and very authentic it very much reminds me of the food in Italy. Eating in is hit or miss as there are only three tables and it is very busy, but when you can get a table it's a great place to go with a few friends.

I order it now and then

The food is a bit inconsistent, but usually pretty good. I've been told on the phone they don't deliver, which is strange and its always awkward picking the food up because they never ask for your name on the phone- so you have to tell them what you ordered. And its crammed and hectic inside, the guys in there are also awkward- not really rude- but just awkward. But I still ago back every few months.

    worst for delivery

I've made the mistake of ordering from Pepe Rosso to go for lunch and the food is always a miss. The pasta is usually bland and overcooked and the salads are soggy. The person on the other end of the phone is usually rude and impatient. For a restaurant that relies on delivery and take out, I am surprised that they don' try harder to keep the clientèle happy. The take out is better, but the attitude is always there!

    Similar to Food in Italy

Going there in the summer is fun because you can sit outside. I get only the pasta and like it very much. The quality never varies. My favorite dish is spaghetti carbonara. Delivery is reliable. I've been a regular for 5 years.
