$200 dinner and they didnt have the heat on, so we sat with our scarves on. the bread was stale. the antipasto was a joke! how does one manage to screw fish up? the pasta was cold and appeared reheated to ensure all plates came out at once. the staff was either having a bad day or manage to be annoyed with general questions. did i mention the heat was off or very low? the wine was great, but then again that's bottled. i dont see negative stars on here. i just rememberd why I dont frequent chelsea for food.

even on bad weather days , these guys get here fast. only complaint is small sizes! for a 12 dollar lunch( 15 with tip for delivery) you expect to be full from PASTA in the city. I need two orders to satisfy my mid afternoon carb crave.

I live in the neighborhood and I think this place has delicious and reasonably priced food for delivery. My favorite is the Penne Vodka. The Capellini with veggies and cheese is also very good.

I wrote a positive review in the spring of 2006, but after a lackluster lunch and time spent shivering in the garden room today, I must retract. We ordered salads and soup, perhaps we should have tried some hot panini. My apple, goat cheese and tomato salad, the same one I raved about last year, was boring, barely edible. The base, not a delicate mesclun as the menu promised, was tasteless, the tomatoes impostors.The goat cheese was nearly frozen.To add to the assault, the dressing is served in a tiny plastic take out cup. The entire experience was unsatisfying. I thought I'd love Pepe, like Paris, in any season.

Work in the neighborhood and decided to order-in for lunch. Based on other reviews, I decided to call ahead and pick-up. That didn't help. When I arrived, the dish had not been started so I had to wait. Food is cheap--10 bucks for a pasta dish--but not dependable if you're on a tight schedule. Caveat emptor.

They have some great pasta dishes here, decent wines, and great prices. I sometimes go here after work for a late dinner and have never been disappointed with the food - service can be a little slow though.

Pepe is one of our favorite spots to eat as well as have delivered. Apple goat cheese salad excellent and enough to share. Also recommend getting their gnocchi with tomatoe and basil-- ask for it to be spicy. They are really accommodating. Tiramisu best way to end the meal.
