Tasty food, nice prices, nice people
My girlfriend and I have gotten food from this simple, no-frills take-away restaurant about once a week for 3 years. My favorite is the curry goat, while my girlfriend likes the oxtail stew and the brown-stew chicken. The portions are generous, the food is tasty and the people are nice.

this food is so good i come all the way from the bronx far all the way by the white stone bridge almost everyday to eat here.....its just the best

Most delicious jerk chicken ever!
In all my years of eating out, People's Choice remains the best food I have ever had. A lofty designation for such a tiny little place but taste the food and you see why. I am a jerk chicken freak and the jerk chicken is like nothing you've ever tasted, unless you're from Jamaica. No wonder it remains one of Harlems most popular restaurants. They slow grill the chicken in these huge barrels with the most amazing seasonings. Often times you can smell the gorgeous aroma of perfectly seasoned chicken from blocks away. The chicken is fall off the bone make you weep tears of joy spicily delicious! Service is definitely not five star, the place can get sardine packed and it sometimes seems like whoever shouts loudest gets his order first but the value is off the meter. Plenty of real and nutritrous food for a fraction of what it would cost downtown and the taste of almost everything on the menu is truly exquisite. From the signature jerk chicken to brown stew chicken to curry goat to the deserts, all mouth wateringly delicious. Never tried the fish but if you are looking for absolutely the moistest and most delicious jerk chicken and Jamaican food, People's Choice is hands down the best I ever tasted.

Good Eats
Peoples Choice Kitchen prepares fried whiting that tastes as if it was brined then fried and smothered with onions, green and red peppers and carrots and scotch bonnet peppers. It is so delicious, I usually have to eat some of the fish before I get home. They mix their lemonade and fruit punch (at your request) into a very delicious and thirst quenching drink. The soups are good and everything else is too.
