Penny licker
Penny licks are the way to go. I can't walk by this place without getting a penny lick ($1 lick in real life). The guy with the glasses is always super nice. The vegan ice cream is a little sugary but I still like it.

Rude
The cake is alright, but the service sucks. The guy that was there was very rude and got annoyed when I asked if there were any nuts in one of the cakes I was considering. He didn't know and didn't seem to care to find out. If you're a bakery you should at least know if there are any possible allergens in your product. And why be a jerk about it? Not going back here.

2 flavors of ice cream
For a place that boasts so many flavors of both dairy and vegan ice cream, its was a joke to find only chocolate and vanilla with no apologies. The service was incredibly rude. I won't be going back to Penny Licks and will tell my friends to do the same.

don't look a (vegan) gift horse in the mouth...
Yes, cake costs 6 dollars a slice. But really, where else in Williamsburg can you get delicious tasty vegan(and non-vegan) treats? The old-timey soda shop vibe is charming and there is usually room to sit and chat cozily. I have yet to pull myself away from Chocolate Covered Strawberry Shortcake in order to try the many other delicious specials, like the enigmatic "snow white" beverage. It's great. Go there now.
