Went there on a Sat Nite. Got a table quickly and had a great meal, promptly delivered in a comfortable setting reminiscent of one's own home. The beer selection was surpringsly eclectic and the oat stout went well with the veggie burger. The street views of the corner of East 30th Street and Lex Ave are highly entertaining as well.

I was really disapointed, the menu was uninspired, the food was blah - not good, not terrible - the soup really didn't taste like anything. After I left it was like I had never eaten there, it was so avearge it seemed like my meal never happened.

I used to love this place but now I have just had it. They completely nickel and dime you. We ordered their dip and they did not give us enough bread with it. When we asked for more we had to pay extra for a side of bread. My mother asked for olive oil and vinegar instead of the dressing they offer and she was charged three dollars. The hostess was also incredibly rude. The waiters there have been very nice, though. What a pity because their food is not half bad-they are just super cheap. I am very disappointed.

I work in the area and often come for late lunch or early dinner. It is a good place to come alone or with a group of people because everyone can find something they like on the menu. The Manager is terrific and everytime I come, I am always greated with a smile and welcomed and the service is consistently excellent The BLT is the best in the city! Desserts are amazing! Try and come off hours....

We just went to this place for Sunday Brunch. We got there early enough so the wait wasn't too bad. The only reason we got to sit sooo quickly was because the table ahead of us never got their order taken, so they got mad and left. As we sat down, the guy next to us asked the server to please take his order because the other couple left because of the lack of service. Instead of apologizing nicely, she responded in a sarcastic tone and was awfully rude to him. Luckily she disappeared and we had a different server that we had a great experience with. She was pleasant and prompt. Our food was good. We ordered omlettes although there were more original things we could have ordered. Overall, a fine experience minus the cranky waitress/server.

i have never been treated so rudely in my life. the host of penelope was rude and unprofessional. the atmosphere is noisy and crowded like a cafeteria. the service is so subpar, this place is not worth your time, with all the other great places to eat in murray hill, stay away from this place.
