I've had Penelope's BBLT, nutella french toast, chicken pot pie, grilled 3 cheese with pesto, guacamole, vanilla cupcake, and summer lobster sandwich. The items mentioned above were all delicious, my favorite being the lobster sandwich (summer menu only). They always add a little something to make the usual taste better, ex. their BBLT has a special balsamic mayo and the french toast has gooey nutella in the middle. The grilled 3 cheese is made with pesto and on a crunchy sourdough bread, and their fries have herbs on them. The food and service is worth the wait. I often go pick-up my order or delivery to avoid the wait! Penelope has become very popular.

Better than average "comfort" food but my three friends and I couldn't really enjoy ourselves as we had to keep repeating everything...music was extremely loud. We are all in our 20's and 30's and accustomed to loud bars, the city, etc, but this place was a headache-inducer! A very charming interior but overpowered by noise. Also had to wait longer than average to get served but again, food was pretty good and inexpensive. I will return but I will know what to expect this time!

It's a great place for tasty, simple food prepared well, and the rustic country ambiance and ultra-friendly servers wearing vintage flowery aprons is a great combo. Great little neighborhood place for a cozy, comfy dinner, though I wouldn't brave the lines for brunch because the place gets really loud.

I like this place. I've eaten here maybe 5-6 times this year. Nice food, nice ingredients, well cooked. I've never waited more than 5 minutes to be seated... usually no wait at all for Sat/Sun brunch.

This place has a cute atmosphere, but is not worth the wait or the prices. I got granola, fuit and yogurt (a small serving) for something like $12. it tasted fine, but it was not worth the wait or the price. there are a million other places to go to where you don't have to wait for 30-60 minutes for better food.

My friends and I go here once every week or two. It's one of our favorite places in Manhattan. The sandwiches are all great, the environment is atmospheric and cozy, and the servers are friendly. And one has to get a cupcake before leaving. Dinner is better than brunch, and there's usually not a line at dinner.
