not good
this is my first review ever!! I cannot understand how this place has gotten such good reviews. I have been living in the city for over ten years and i know all the great itaian spots in the city. We tried to do something different and decided to try Little Italy. Based on the reviews from menupages we selected this place. I must say this had to be one of the worst Italian restaurant i have ever been to. They have better Italian food in Topeka, KS. The pasta supermarket quality, fish forget it. I understand that little italy is a tourist trap but you would think the food would be decent. The staff happened to be nice and attentive just cant stress enough how unpleasant the food was.

Dinner tonight
Had just came from dinner here tonight, the appetizers -mushroom and calamari were good. It was agreed upon all of us that the entrees were incredibly salty. The bread was good and the service too.

First Class!
What a gem this place is! The food is scrumptious and service by the wait staff was unbeatable. They are even good with kids. The atmosphere is classy without being pretentious. The menu has something for everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Top 10 for a reason
In NYC for Valentine's Day and it was some of the best Italian food we've ever had. We arrived a few min. early for our reservations and were seated right away. The wait staff was there for anything and everything we needed but weren't "over our shoulders" every minute... they were there when we needed. Excellent food, fair portions, good price. 2 of us ate for about $115 and didn't leave hungry.

An Incredible Dining Experience!
We went here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary....I have to say this is the BEST Italian food EVER (and I grew up eating authentic Italian food, as I'm 1/2 Italian)! I was VERY impressed. The food was perfection...from the freshly baked bread, to the excellent Pinot Grigio, to the succulent sea scallops on a bed of angel hair pasta with a wine/garlic sauce (my mouth is watering as I type this)! My husband enjoyed his lasagna as well (I had a bite and it was delicious)! We will definitely be back the next time we're in NYC...and we are telling all of our family and friends to go here as well! The waiters were friendly too...excellent service! I actually cried because I had such a great time, an excellent meal...and my sweet husband found this place himself on the internet! He did good!

Best of the Best
These guys know everything about running a fine establishment. Although they own most of the restaurants on the block, this is their trophy. No need to go any place else. The waiters know the menu like the back of their hand. Class AAA all the way.

the best Italian meal in Little Italy
Wow! So much value for the money. Hands down best gnocci I've ever had. My dining partner loved her ravioli. Very good house red wine. Didn't try desserts, but they looked good. We went to "Rice to Riches" on Spring St. for very yummie rice pudding. Will go back here during next visit to NYC.
