    Thai? Uh...sorry!

This is not Thai food! Yes, you get a lot of it for lunch. HUGE portions for lunch. BUT the quality of the food is very low indeed. I have been there twice. last time I had chicken, which was one step up from KFC. Today I had the Tilapia. I think I still taste it, and the memory is not pleasing. Everyone talks about the decor, which is trendy...but also very cold. There are so many other restaurants in Soho that offer good value for moderate prices...yes...even in Soho...it is just not worth it. If you like food bars where you get low quality but enough food to sink a ship...this is your place. If you like reasonable portions of good quality, good tasting food, you can go just about anywhere else downtown and do much better.

Decor makes up for bad trendy Thai??

Food was not your typical thai, which i dont mind, but it really wasnt that good. All I here is people talking about how cool the place looks and how unique the bathroom is. I can't help but think people have an alternate reason for going here besides the food. This place needs to stop spending money on its overhead and put it towards getting a decent chef. I wouldnt even call this Thai food.

    Won't be returning.

Peep is such a cute, fun place and the menu looks great. I really wanted it to be good. Everything we had just wasn't very good though. We had the calamari, which was way too fried, and the ceviche was interesting, but nothing special and tasted rather generic. The good thing was, it was very affordable and the service was good. Yes, the bathrooms were fun, but I felt like I was using the restroom at someone's dinner table.

    Awesome!

The food was great, first time eating Thai food and I was not let down. The service was incredibly quick and the prices were surprisingly affordable. I'm definitely going back. The bathroom was the hottest bathroom I've ever been in and the atmosphere was so chic and modernistic. I loved it!

I'm reluctant to plan a return trip.

I've been wanting to go here for awhile, and I was certainly pleased with the ambience and what is certainly the sexiest bathroom I've stepped into. However, I was a little disappointed with the food, however efficiently it was brought out. Upon reading "green tea soup with brown rice", I was incredibly intrigued, only to get a generic broth that was dotted with a few scraggly pieces of cabbage, mushrooms, and a handful of rice. My friend's appetizer, the grilled calamari, was extremely chewy and, unless intentionally done so, lukewarm. My entree, the grilled salmon with mussels and rice in a turmeric mustard sauce, was definitely tastier, though if there had been more variety I would have chosen something else.

Back again and still worth it

I ate again in Peep last week on a return visit, and this continues to be one of my favourite NY restaurants. The food is fantastic, prices great, and the service/atmosphere/cocktails etc are excellent.

    Love this place!

I work in Soho and this is my favorite spot for lunch. The lunch menu is an unbelievable value, the service is great (I have never had my water glass go empty) and the atmosphere is so chic. I always bring my out of town guests here. I'd highly recommend this to anyone.
