Really just disappointing
I could elaborate, but this place is all around unpleasant. Too bad it's DUMBO's only real Mexican offering.

Not what I expected
I expected this place to have awesome food and margaritas instead we got only 1 choice of a premixed margarita that we had to go up and get ourselves along with our food because no one bothered to tell us that was how it worked. Instead the employees just looked at us and pretty much acted as no one was there. It was only 1 in the afternoon and now I see why this place was not at all packed! Very crappy service and treatment. The food was ok but as a whole I would no go back to this place. It sucks because it's a great location.

It's a mystery
I work nearby and this place is always packed. But I just can't figure out why. Not only is it the worst Mexican I've ever had..but the food is just simply tasteless. The only thing I can assume, is that it's the loud music and cheap soft tacos that lures people in. Watch your head though..low ceiling. If you're in the mood for Mexican, this aint the place to go. But, if you don't really care about flavor and you just wanna hang out in the neighborhood..ya, okay.

Used to be great, terrible now...what happened?!?
This place used to have good food at a great value. The quality of the food and the drinks at the bar both plummeted. (Worst margarita I have ever had) And at the same time, prices rose. What's going on? Did ownership change hands? I live in the neighborhood. Please bring the old Pedro's back and I will gladly eat and drink there again on a regular basis.

Not recommended
The veggie burrito doesn't actually have any vegetables. It's just beans & rice, covered with sour cream & no guac! Beans are not a vegetable. So you pay $8 for a bowl of rice & beans in a wrap. To be fair there's chopped lettuce and salsa on the side.

Couldn't have been worse
Despite the fact that my date and I sat down before two tables next to us, their orders were taken first. It was admittedly busy, and I'm usually very forgiving of waitstaff when a restaurant was packed. We ordered an appetizer (nachos), water, beer, and entrees. The two tables next to us received their drink orders quickly, before we were even given water. After twenty minutes had passed, we flagged down the waitress and asked for our water, beer, and nachos. Before receiving any of those things though, the tables next to us were served their dinner. We again asked the waitress for water and beer and nachos, and eventually did recieve them. While we were waiting, another two tables sat down behind us and had their orders taken. My date and I received our dinner at the same time as those two tables. And our dinner...my cheese tamale was completely inedible. It was nearly impossible to cut with silverwear, dry, cold, hard around the edges, and impossible to chew; I didn't get past the first bite. My date's beef burrito contained exactly that: beef. Even though he asked if there were beans in it and was told yes, there were black beans in it, the burrito was full of unseasoned beef, some white rice, and nothing else--no cheese, no totmatoes, no lettuce, no beans, nothing. Instead of ever asking if we needed more beer or more water, which yes, we did, the tables which entered after us and left before us were bussed although there was no one waiting to be seated. Getting our check wasn't any easier than getting our food. We felt purposefully ignored, and left both hungry and angry. This used to be a great place eat. The last few times I've been there have been disappointing. I doubt I'll go there again.

some of the worst nachos
Spent a late lazy Sunday afternoon here yesterday... it's got a nice, friendly, laid-back atmosphere, service is fine, no complaints there. But man, we ordered the chicken deluxe nachos and they were truly very nearly inedible (we were starving). 90% nachos, lettuce, and crema -- no detectable cheese, and tiny, tiny shreds of chicken that were far too small to detect with actual tastebuds. Got excited when I spotted one sizable piece -- it turned out to be some rubbery joint-tissue that I had to spit out. Granted, that's all we had, but I eyed a lot of food coming out being served, and it all looked to be the same miserable quality. I don't know WHAT the positive reviews above are about. Maybe it's gone downhill?
