If you like chinese food, being rowdy, and getting wrecked, Pearl is very much recomended. If your a family looking for a quiet, enjoyable night out, then steer clear by all means.

I just moved to the UWS 3 weeks ago, and am still trying to find the best cold sesame noodles (if you are reading this and have a suggestion, PLEASE let me know!) But I'm getting lots of practice, as I carry on my Sunday night Chinese food tradition. I gave Pearls a try last week based on the other reviews. I had "design your own dish", and it was pretty great! Perfectly spicy, and nothing to pick out of the dish because I got to choose everything I liked. They even mixed chicken & beef for me, so nice! It was really great! On the other hand, the cold noodles were only ok. On to the next Chinese restaurant I guess....

When we come to New York to visit this restaurant. The Crispy Beef is great. The wine is complimentary. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Delivery was pretty fast. Maybe the Chinese-American food is okay, but I am Taiwanese, and I like to order authentic Chinese cuisine. The crystal shrimp dumplings - flavor was good, but there was far less shrimp in them than I have ever had before. The vegetable dumplings are just okay. The spare ribs and the Ma Po Tofu were poor. Drowned in an overabundance of thickened soy sauce. Neither dish is supposed to be like that. And the previous reviewer was correct: loaded with MSG.

I loved almost everything about the place. The food was fresh and tasty at a good price with an interesting variety of choices. The service was very quick and polite. The decor was pretty and the place looked neat as a pin. My only real complaint is the amount of MSG in the food. I had a really good beef dish here and it was like warm butter to cut and chew because of the amount of MSG in the food. I think thefood could stand on it's own without the mass amounts of this migrain inspiring ingredient. Otherwise Bon Apetit!

Good chinese delivery and super fast! I ordered and it arrived in less than ten minutes. It was tasty and reasonably priced. (I made my own dish) I'm a big fan of their scallion pancakes, too. Not goumet, but certainly the best I've had in this neighborhood.

I went on my Anniversary with my boyfriend and we had a great time, we dressed up really fancy and they gave us some complimentary wine which was bitter but hey it was wine and a jar full of it. The food was excellent could not have expected anything so perfect! Their service was on point though they usually cant tell if u want more water but overall service was great and fast! The food is not that expensive and you will get a lot for your money!
