Pearl Street Diner

The food is great and fast. The staff are what make it special---perfect service!

It doesn't look that great from the outside but inside it is just like a traditional diner. We had great breakfast with very good value. I recommend the waffles. The service was good also.

To start on a good note, the first time my girlfriends and I were there we had a blast, the food was amazing and the service was awesome. With such a great first time experience, my girlfriends had planned my birthday dinner at this restaurant. Upon arriving, we realized that our second time was not going to be good. Here are the issues were had listed: First problem: We could only get two times for reservations that night with them saying they were booked, but when we go there only one table was occupied and the place never got busy. Second problem: Our waiter was very rude and kept messing up the order. We would politely ask that the waiter come over and correct the order which in turn he was very annoyed and less then enthusiastic to fix it. Third problem: After waiting a long time for our food, my friends lamb shank was very cold and the waiter blamed it on the new "chef" but did not offer to fix it, let alone offer her another menu choice. She sat there telling him she had not eaten her food and was still very hungry and he was less then concerned to fix it. Remind you that he only had one the table to wait on, so he was not busy running around. Fourth problem: What was on the menu for being served as sides with the meal is not what was served to us. The waiter did not even give us a heads up or alternate choice. Fifth problem: This one is the worse by far, when the bill came the waiter charged us for the wrong items and still charged my friend for the cold lamb she did not eat and gave back to him. Upon us asking for adjustments in the bill which was a fair request, he was even more annoyed and said "Is there anything you do not want to pay for" like it was our fault that the food was cold and awful. Even though the first time was great for us, the experience of our second time was bad enough to make all of us never reconsidering this place.

Staff was pretty rude last time I went. Might have been because person in diner skipped on bill but that shouldn't affect your service to other customers!

I chose this restaurant for my group at work since they were working late, the next day everyone had a comment about the flavorless food they ordered. This one will definitely come off of my menus list :(

took my pine on her birthday and it was great. she had the waffles with ice cream and i had fried chicken!! couldnt have been worse for us, but my god was it great. we sat in the back where it was nice and warm and our server was entertaining. even though my chicken came out really late, as they forgot to put the order in, we still had a good time. cant wait to go back.

Great place for breakfast on the weekend when not a lot of other places are open in this area. Food was excellent.
