    never again

Don't even think of going. Klutzy and careless as all hell. Just splashed ketchup all over a $400 pair of jeans and a $2,000 jacket. And didn't even comp the meal, not that that would have helped . . .

    Great Bar, Overpriced Food

This is my neighborhood bar, so I may be biased, but I love this place. As a bar, it's great. Good atmosphere, friendly regulars, and great bartenders. One of the first times I was there, I was watching my team on Monday Night Football (cable wasn't installed yet). Let's just say, my team had a rough night. The bartender, at the end of the game, gave me a "sorry man" and a pint on the house. I was hooked. As great as the bar is, I would never go here for dinner, not because the food is bad, it's definitely decent, but most of it is WAY overpriced for what it is. If you eat here, just eat at the bar and go for the sandwiches or burgers, which are reasonably priced and pretty good.

    A 5 Star Pub

Great place, food, drink and prices. Was really surprized by the quality of the food, it was great. Will be back whenever in the area.

    old standby

A cut above average bar grub- way above, never had a bad dish here. It can get noisy in the bar area, but the back room is rarely crowded & much quieter. Service is excellent!

    very expensive bar food

Came here for dinner due to a gift certificate, the service is good and the staff try to make you feel at home in the bar trying to be a restaurant. The food on the other hand is bar food trying to be more. The chef should try to realize that just because you put garnish around a plate does mean you can charge 20.00-30.00 dollars. Dinner for two, with two beers, will cost you around 60.00- 70.00 bucks. My advise, grab a hot dog next door at Gray’s, and head out to the numerous drink specials all around the Westside and Amsterdam, many of which will not hit you up for 8-10 dollars for a beer like this place.

    UWS gem

This bar/restaurant is a hidden gem on the Upper West Side. While on the outside it appears another ordinary Irish pub, upon entering, I found that the both the vibe and the food to be excellent. While I wasn't expecting the food to be anything other than pub fare, it was way above standard. The burger was outstanding and the side salad I opted for instead of fries was enormous with a great balsamic vinaigrette a nice surprise. And the beer list was great as well, many of my favorites on tap. Lots of flat screens too to watch the ballgame. My trip to a concert at Beacon Theater was made even better by this place, I shall be back for sure!

Good place to eat if you are in the area

The waitress was attentive to us. The chicken noodle soup with tomato was great. The blackened salmon over caesar salad was okay. The egg benedict was good. I am planning on going back.
