    Ok food, not service

Rude service, never got a refill of water, waited 40 minutes for the dessert menu while the server was chatting to his buddy in the front and it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon on a weekday! I know this is a French bistro and it's supposed to be chill and relax but come on! When the food finally did come, most of it was disappointing at best and not worth the money with the exception of the croque-monsieur. Even the desserts were disappointing... I say stick to buying your baguette at the front and don't even bother with the dining room!

    poor service

What a disappointment this place was... we waited forever for our food, which was just so-so. Stick to the croissants and apple turnovers for take-out.

    Boo la la!! (re service)

This is about the service of which there is none. Even just having coffee and pastry in the front could be such a nice experience if it weren't for the lack of service. With only a couple of tables to handle in the front, the servers can barely get one's order to the table, and after that they're never to be seen again. The owner should apply some of his meticulous-attention-to-detail to the service --- after all, the prices warrant it.

    Poor service (but delicious pastries)

We waited 45 minutes for our food, which was quite good. I will only come here to buy my croissants and apple chaussons to take out.

    Great food, abysmal service.

I'll be brief. Went on Christmas Eve. Place was packed...TOO packed. Food was excelent! Service was rude and demeaning. Tables were inches apart. A table for 6 was turned into a table for nine...the chairs couldn't fit around let alone the people. Value?...the food was great, the service was not.

    Favorite place in the neighborhood!

I love coming for lunch at this place. It's the perfect mix of upscale and lowkey. Love sitting at the bar, the bartenders are fantastic here, nice and charming and always a delight. Phillip Bertineau the chef is just amazing, i dont think he's as appreciated as he should be! The food is better than I think even the pastries here, shh!, and they're already too die for!

Get a Croque Monsier at Lunchtime

I thought the food was delicious and the service divine. The only think I was put off was that the waitstaff pushed the bottled water which I did order eventually. Only to find that the H2O was a bit expensive and all of the trendy folks around me were all drinking tap water....The bakery in front is wonderful and as contemporary as this place is, it still has an old world charm....Do lunch there!
