    Great Food, Poor Service

Love the pizza, but quite honestly, for the price, the service is not great. Also, delivery times and zone are not good!

Good pizza + no delivery = annoying...

Solid pizza with quality ingredients. Service is spotty. Hostesses are indeed rude. No delivery is a chafe.

    Pizza not great!

I see this place has a great reputation and everyone seems to love their pizza. I found it far from perfect though. The crust came soft and not crispy at all. This is because they put too much (and too watery) tomato sauce so the bread gets soaked in it.

    Great pizza-rude hostess

great food all the time. Very Noisy but fun. Hostess are rude and not very interested in your comfort. No matter-back room is quieter. Rolls used to be better.

    An All-Time Favorite

Reliably exceptionally good pizza at reasonable prices. Thin crust--no Sicilian--with a sauce of perfectly balanced sweetness and tartness and just enough paraffin-free cheese. Add a salad built for two and you and your dining partner have a well-rounded yummy lunch or dinner.

    Great food, relatively inexpensive

After reading all of the negative reviews about the service I was surprised. The service was more than adequate, even though it was busy, and the food came out quickly. My cousin and I shared the caesar salad, which was solid. Good combination of creamy dressing and salad, not like other caesar salads that are tasteless or have too much dressing. Pizza was also very good (though obviously not as good as John's Pizzeria of Bleeker St., which is the best), fresh ingredients and made in their brick oven. Pretty decent selection of beer, as well, but no mixed drinks. But definitely worth it.

Great pizza and salads, mixed service

My wife and I have eaten here more times than I can count over the 35 years we've been in the neighborhood. The food has been consistently good, many times, even "great." However the whole experience is marred by mixed service. At times it is fine. Pleasant, comfortable, etc. Other times it is much less pleasant than it should be. I've found that the only thing that works then is speaking up - asserting yourself - as pleasantly as possible. Now that ticks me off. It causes stress and makes my stomach upset and is completely unnecessary. FORTUNATELY, this is RARE. But it is one of those restaurants where the staff can be moody. BOTTOM LINE: I would not hesitate to send visitors to this Patsy's. Come in hungry, and if you arrive at a peak time, expect to wait. Settle yourself in with a glass of wine and a paper or something. Enjoy the bread and oil... relax.
