I live around the corner, and this is my pizzeria of choice for take out or dine in. The athmosphere, service, prices etc are all fair, but the food really is quite good. The only better pizza I've had in NYC are the real hyped places like Grimaldi's, Lombardi's et al. The pastas are are also very good, but there are some duds like the ravioli on the menu. Another highlight on the menu is the pasta fagioli.

The people who take yor order on the phone are down right nasty and the delivery wait is the longest I've ever experienced.

ate lunch here on the weekend, seated promptly though hostess said there were only outside seats for two yet we passed 5 tables for two inside on the way out. Whatever. grilled portebello yummy, pizza yummy, bread yummy, waitress was not good. never came nack after taking order, had to make crazy hand waves across room to get her attention after 20 minutes of waiting to ask for refills. Gave bus boy the tip since he spent more time with us than she did. not worth the aggravation.

Prior to visiting NYC I researched a lot of restaurants on this site but not Patsy's. Then, while walking from my hotel to Lexington and 59th subway stop, ran across this place at the same time my stomach said it was time for supper. Had a great thin crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. Service was very good, prices fair. Ambience that of a somewhat upscale neighborhood trattoria. Went back a couple of nights later to sample their pasta dishes. I had linguini alla vongole which was excellent, as good as the real mccoy I usuually devoured in Napoli! The fettuccini carbonara my wife had was also very nicely done. Both pastas were cooked perfectly to the al dente stage. Again, service was very good. Overall, this is a good solid restaurant that we'd visit again.

I live 2 blocks from Patsys.. so I've been there a million times. Its a great little joint for pizza, salads, and pasta. There is always agood crowd in there. Its a bit expensive for what it is.. you don't realize until you get the bill, but its worth it. It's consistently tasty. The waitresses are cute too.
