    Not even close!

This place used to be fantastic but something must've seriously changed because the quality of the pizza has gone from WOW to crap. After three disappointing pizza deliveries in a row, will not order again.

    1/2 & 1/2

WE just moved our son into NYU. hungry but not starved we walked around and came into here. The staff seemed annoyed we had 6 people but put us/ no sqished us into a table. WE ordered sodas and a beer, $6.00 draft.!! a little high since I paid the normal $4 in the theater district. Not really knowing what this restaurant was like we order what we liked and got the pizza and the vodka penne famile size. Well it got crowed and the staff had a hard time getting us water after they took our order. We asked several waiters and the manager but little was done. The pizza came out dry and a little burned but the penne was excellent. Finally the water. A little expensive and gruff but the penne was so good it's worth a another try. Just know going in the tables are tiny and the staff treats you like your escaping from prison camp!

    Great Pizza, Wonderful Experience

I've been here twice now and both times had a decent experience. The first was for lunch on a weekday and the servers were extremely attentive if only because they had nothing else to do. The pizza was excellent and I couldn't wait to eat the lefttovers. The second time I brought a friend who was visiting on Halloween and was blown away by the service. The place was clearly crowded but the server was still extremely attentive and polite. We expected a bit of a wait because it was so busy but they still gave us drinks on the house while we waited. I definitely recommend a visit.

    go for the pizza

Go to this place if you want great pizza, not the best ambiance or service though. We were seated at a tiny table and it was cold. The pizza here has always been amazing though so it's worth it!

unbelievably bad from start to finish

i went here on a sunday afternoon at 4pm when only 2 other tables were occupied. the waiter took me to a single table which was up against a wall with only one chair. there was not enough room on the tiny table for the pizza & my plate. when i asked for another table, he said they are saving them for larger parties. there were more than a dozen empty tables!!! & this was hardly the dinner rush hour. i pointed to a small table for 2 & he reluctantly led me there. the pizza had a soggy crust, & it was skimpy on cheese. also had burnt bits. so the food was middling. the music was very loud & i had to flag the busboy down to get water refills, even though the place was practically empty. in order to squeeze in as many tables as possible, they use one foot tall metal racks to put their pizzas on. they don't cut the slices through, so i had to use my knife & fork to saw through the crust. lo & behold, the whole pie slid off the rack & fell onto the floor. there was more than half the pizza left! i was dumbfounded. no one came by to apologize, & i left a very unhappy diner. when i called later to speak to the manager, he assured me they have rubber things to prevent slipping. the time i went there before this visit, the same thing almost happened, but my friend caught it on the other side. so the pizzas definitely slide around. i told him i have to write this in to warn other patrons, & he told me to go ahead. he was not helpful. i will never go here again. the place absolutely left a bad taste in my mouth. i want to warn anyone thinking of going there that their friends might end up with a dry cleaning bill!
