    Solid restaurant

Consistantly good basic Italian food. Excellent service. Wine list very good. Maitre D great guy. We go back again and again when we are in NY. Yes there are "hotter" spots but Patsy's is comfortable and reliable

Went for holidays with family and I was shocked that it was more expensive than the city's finest Italian places. Needless to say the food left a lot to be desired and the career waiters were in the holiday "spirit".

    ok for Southern Italian

I've been here 3 times and eat out often. Portions are huge and ambiance is nice. Yes, it's pricey, but it's Patsy's, so you expect that. Some of the food is not good (chicken contadina -- inedible); some is ok but too bland (chicken cacciatore, chicken Francese); and some is really good (pasta and meatballs -- the meatballs are "to die for", eggplant parmagian is wonderful). So based on above, I would say the truly Southern Italian dishes with heavy rich tomato sauce are very good, while the Northern Italian is too bland, and the chicken is boring. Also, the fried zuchinni was also wonderful -- very light, tasty, crispy strips. I've given up on chicken dishes, but would still come back for the pasta dishes and zuchinni and atmosphere.

    Living by its names

Its clearly living on its name and not its food quality. I had the Penne Vodka and the sauce was like water, the pasta was undercooked and clearly was from a bag and not fresh and the Parmesan was canned as well. For 20-25 bucks a plate I want fresh pasta and Parmesan grated in front of me

    Are you kiddin' Me

This family owned restaurant is one of the finest in the country, that I have been blessed to experience. Did you meet Sal, the grandson of the original owner? He is kind, and you can taste his passion with each dish. Genuine Italian food from a great Italian family. First class service, and a favorite to many celebrities. I could go on and on, but please take the word of a regular and critic, you are missing something great!

    All Hype

If you want mediocre overpriced food this is where to go. If you want the same for less go to any place in Little Italy. There was nothing extrordinary about our visit. Will not return.
