While I have never posted a review in my life, I will make an exception for Patsy’s on W.56th St. The Italian fare is consistently excellent, and the people there truly make you feel like family. So, whenever we have family &/or friends out for dinner, it is always our top choice. And no one is ever disappointed. When one walks in the door, you get a friendly greeting from Frank &/or Joe and once seated, not unusual for chef Sal to escape the kitchen and meet-greet guests. No wonder why Frank Sinatra, who would receive VIP treatment no matter where he dined, considered Patsy’s his favorite too (as well as many other celebs). But regardless of whether you are a celeb or not, you are treated like one at Patsy’s or even better, as family.

After hearing of Patsy's for years, we finally made it during Christmas time, and we were delighted! The atmosphere was great, and the food delicious. The service was just right, and the owner and his wife were wonderful. Best of all, we had a super dessert - St. Joseph's cake! Terrific !

I justified my first visit to Patsy’s by saying, "If it was good enough for Sinatra, it should be good enough for me." Let me start by telling you what I DON’T like about the place. . .NOTHING! It is my favorite restaurant in New York period. The food is good, the service is sensational and the owners are some of the finest people I have ever met. It is a must stop every time I am visiting the city. By New York standards their prices are very reasonable and you never know who might be at the next table. Patsy’s is a favorite among show business, political and business heavy weights. I just never get tired of going there. Patsy’s is the epitome of cool. Why do ya think Frank picked it?

My first time there. Food was excellent, service good and the owner was in the dining room talking to the patrons. Will put on my list of to go back to.

We visit Patsy's each year when we see a Broadway show!! We are from the Philadelphia area and this is a must part of our trip. We are always greeted so warmly, and then experience unbelievable service. The food is incredible - we like to try something new each time but then we also have our favorites that we love to have again. Sal always comes to our table and catches up with us. If you are going to New York City, you can't miss eating at Patsy's!!!

To review this based on my most recent visit would be to undermine the lifetime worth of experiences that I have been fortunate to encounter. As long as I have been placing food in my mouth I have been eating at Patsy's. The consistency of excellence has never let me down from Chicken Scarpariello (not on the menu - ask for it special!) to their baked ziti, Shrimp Marinara, Veal Cutlet (the Frank Sinatra Special), Meatballs, Spaghetti Bolognese, and even the chopped salad! Their food is REAL italian food that can surpass any other italian restaurant.

My wife and I ate there this past weekend. We are from North Carolina and have eaten here before when visiting the city. I was shocked by some of the negative reviews. This place is fantastic if you love Italian food. The Veal Parm is the best I have ever eaten and my wife's Rigatoni was also outstanding. The owner came by the table and gave us some of his Pasta Sauce to take home with us and couldn't have been nicer. If you like Italian food this is THE place to go in NYC. Again, cannot understand any negative review of this place...it's excellent.
