...and it's not the attitude. I stumbled upon Pastai on sheer chance and now looking back, worth every morsel. The dining room is a rustic, cozy interior with high bar tables in the front and standard dining room tables towards the back. I was skeptical at first, but once the appetizer arrived I was anticipating the entree. My friend and I ordered octopus which was perfectly good, soft, delicately crispy on a bed of orzo and arugula. My pasta was the highlight of the meal. A perfectly portioned gemmelli pasta with zucchini, peas, and asparagus. Cooked al dente, perfectly portioned and savory with every bite. My friend ordered a pan sauteed chicken breast crusted in bread-crumbs and parmesean which he raved about with every bite. The dessert was an unexpected spicy chocolate gelato. The service was great, nothing grand, nothing lack-luster. The food is definitely worth coming back for.
