We were looking to get a pizza in NYC as the same quality as in Italy. Never happened. Until we were walking with our dogs and saw this pizza place. It was as great as we have in Italy! Just go and see for yourselves

It was our third time visiting the village, we had been walking for hours discovering the endless history and old architecture, we needed an inexpensive meal fast. We happened upon this little place at 93 MacDougal, not exactly a budget option. It was 5pm, only three other tables with patrons at the time we arrived. Food was priced average for NY. We ordered quickly, our soup/salad arrived in 5 min and food took about 20 minutes to receive. Italian wedding soup was top notch and my friend loved the house dressing on her crispy fresh salad of mixed greens. Nearby customers raved about the pizza they were eating, it smelled so good, I wished we had ordered it. I got the Fettuccine Bolognese which had deep rich tomato flavors and delicious beef/sausage, fresh garlic and mushrooms, so delicious. Garlic bread also fantastic. They must make their own pasta and sauces, the kind you would expect in a fancier place. My friend raved about the Chicken Marsala, the sauce was especially good she said. Our meals with two glasses of wine totaled $46, it was worth every penny and the staff was enjoyable as well, never rushed, always happy. If you visit here, try to get a table by the window, it is the perfect place to people watch in this historic part of the city. It was a great experience in this little old world restaurant and plan to return.

This is the best restaurant that I've ever been to. It's a place you could go to every day for a year and you'd still have more fun stuff to eat . . .

We had lunch there several weeks ago. I had the Grilled Salmon sandwich with a side salad and thought it was excellent. Also, had a Mojito from their $5 drink selection that was perfect. Sat in at an open air window seat and had a great time people watching, talking and relaxing.

The best Alfredo sauce I have ever had. We went here for brunch and the pancakes were wonderful too. We each got a different dish and everyone enjoyed them! The service was wonderful as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!

A little on the dark side.....food was ok..nothing special. Pizza is not really pizza...more like a pita w/ sauce and cheese. Didn't care for their sauce on their pasta. But service was very friendly and fast
