    Great Experience

We went there for a party on a Sunday Evening. The party room had a nice atmosphere. All the dishes I sampled were excellent and the service was great as well. The whipped caviar was out of this world to start with as were the fresh olives. The lamb with the eggplant puree was the favorite dish I had there. The turkish red wine is very dry and had a clean finish.

    Lovely and friendly bartender

Lovely place - food is amazing and also quick service but having a drink at the bar is the best part of the night.

    Not bad

I hadn't had persian food in a while, ok but nothing special. A little on the salty side in the various incarnations of lamb. Desserts were nothing special. Service polilte and unhurried.

    Vibrant flavors--

--and romantic decor, but minor lapses in service: the hostess gave a poor first impression when she fixed 99% of her attention on her friend who came in behind us. Servers offset this, however, by being extremely (even overly, at times) attentive through the rest of the meal. Favorite dish: Hunkar Begendi (?cubes of baby lamb cooked in tomato sauce with rosemary and oregano, served over charcoal roasted smoky eggplant puree?). The lamb was tender and the smoky eggplant might be the most delicious thing I've eaten in the past year, robustly flavored with a beautiful, creamy consistency. Appetizers of Soslu Patlican (?cubes of spicy eggplant tossed with tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil?) and Coban Salata (?shepherd?s salad of chopped green cucumbers, tomatoes, tender long, green peppers, red onion, parsley, and tossed with extra virgin olive oil and vinegar?) were made out of high quality ingredients: vine ripened tomatoes, crisp cucumber, good olive oil. Bread served with the meal was fresh and fragrant. Excellent dining experience. Comfortable, yet classy decor (tapered candles!). A cut or two above Columbus Ave.'s mostly mediocre 'restaurant row.'

    Very authentic cuisine

Went there last night (Friday, may 13) with three of my girlfriends. Got there at 9:30, a bit of a wait at the door. The manager were friendly and let us in pretty fast. As soon as we got in, we were greeted by friendly staff. We walked into a very intimate restauran's lounge with amazing house music playing. The wine and the ambient was better then most lounges serve and the layout and decor were so comfy and swank at the same time! And the food was absolutely superb and the snorkeling out of this world :)

    Disappointing

We love Turkish food and have been to Turkey several times. As this reataurant got rave reviews from friends, we had to go there. The food was good, but they would not substitute a thing---this is so unlike any restaurant I've ever been to in Turkey. Then, the waiters seemed to all be in a hurry---getting their attention or getting an explanation of the food was not easy. One person in the party was vegetarian and in every Turkish restaurants I've been to, this is absolutely no problem, but this restaurant seemed irritated by it. We'll try it again, as we love Turkish food, but if we have same experience with no substitutions, forget it.
