Excellent
Albaloo Polo is with Chicken. I've been going here monthly almost since they opened, and I've never seen a Fish variation. My favorites: Albaloo Polo, Adas Polo, Kabab Barg (tasty, juicy - yum!), and for apps, I love the Kashkeh Bademjan and the Mast Moosir (yogurt with shallots). Never really found the stews to my liking, though. Portions are huge; I can't recall a time I left without doggie bag. The complimentary bread (I think it's called taftoon) is insanely good, but it has almost no shelf life; you've got to eat it within about 15 minutes or it gets really chewy (and it's not reheatable if you take it with you) As for service, I've had pretty good experiences, but that could also be because I'm a semi-regular customer.

Depressing
I loved the bread. Their special was fish with albaloo polo (cherry rice). I never heard of that in Iran. Have you guys had any cherry polo with fish ? !!! it was definitely strange. I tried the fish with white rice but didn't taste like iranian food at all. I felt like I still wanted to have those grilled tomato's and onions with my food which I didn't have any. I still love Ravagh's chillian's sea bass. Other than food, the place was kind of empty on Fri night and people looked alittle sad and serious.

Stumbled upon
I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking up 26th street and being hungry. I could not have asked for a better find. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was absolutely perfect and the atmosphere terrific. I highly recommend to anyone not only looking for great Persian food, but to anyone looking for a great meal.

Work in progress
Its better then Ravagh but not as good as Colbeh(Expensive***). Still a good value for money. If you order the kabab make sure to ask them not to cook it too much... Place has lots of light and windows and you dont smell like Kabab when you leave. The service has been great. One Iranian's view.

Disappointed, overpriced
The food arrived promptly but the chicken and "filet mignon"(which certainly was not filet) that we ordered was bland and dry from overcooking. Our meal was an disappointment, especially after having paid $16 a piece for our entrees. I certainly expect more for those kinds of prices for takeout.

Good food
It's hard to find good persian food in the city, and this place does the job pretty nicely. The service was friendly, but lacking in places. Just don't expect much, and get your filling of good inexpensive Irooni food.
