    Overpriced, Overrated, OK Food

    I have eaten here on multiple occasions because friends want to give it a try. Overall I would say the food here offers relatively average dishes for what one would expect of a "higher end" establishment. I strongly agree with the previous poster regarding clueless patrons raving about how great this place is. If you walk out of this place thinking this place is "fantastic" you probably need to dine out more frequently. Bottom line is if you live in the UES this place is really convenient to get a decent meal and yes its overpriced. For more detail on what I've tried my comments are below. I've tried all of their cuts of meat and for a steakhouse they are "ok". Factoring the price the cut is absolutely lacking, its nice that they offer sauces but its a steak (sorry bias). The one burger they offer is pretty decent (they only offer american cheese), they use better quality beef in a more palatable size (ie: smaller) and throw a little of their own sauce on the bun which I'm sure people will either love or hate. Onion rings are good. For seafood the shrimp cocktail I can say is excellent, sauce is slightly spicier which I prefer but some might not. Regarding the clams and oysters they aren't anything to write home about, I wouldn't order them. Anyone who raves about their raw bar obviously has no taste buds.

    overrated

    im not sure that the people who are giving this place good reviews have ever eaten decent steak before. the meat here is simply not good at all. that's the bottomline. the meat here is just not good and the fact that an unknown steakhouse has the audacity to charge as much as perennially amazing steakhouses is criminal. who do these people think they are? all of these "the price is well worth it" comments are just plain stupid and are objectively wrong. if you want real steak, dont eat here. its a complete ripoff.

    Great food.. great service! a little on the pricey side but was well worth it. I would return.

    Great place for a date, meet friends

    I really enjoyed eating here. I had some oysters and their special lobster dish and it was divine. It is on the pricey side so it is just for special occasions, but it is nice to have this kind of place on the UES.

    Great onion rings

    I had a pleasant birthday meal with a friend. We realized after our main course that we weren't told about the specials, and when we mentioned that, they gave us free desserts. The service in general was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. They probably have the most comfortable seats of any restaurant on the UES. I didn't care for the lobster roll (open face), and the steak was just okay, but I loved the onion rings, fries, and the desserts.

    GREAT NEW ADDITION!!

    I was hesitant at first due to some reviews but I knew they were probably working out some kinks in this new restaurant at a location that always seemed doomed. Well what a pleasant surprise. Started out with Hama Hama oysters with traditional mignonette sauce followed by green salad and then steamed lobster to share as an appetizer. This was followed by a perfectly grilled 44oz porterhouse for 2. Give them a try!

    Amazing!

    Great food, both steak and seafood. Knowledgeable, attentive staff, nice decor and lighting. Pricy, but the money is very well spent indeed. Would recommend whole-heartedly if you need to impress, or are just desire to eat in style!
