    prices...

are you serious? "less than the average steakhouse"? the poster below clearly doesnt have any idea what they are talking about. im laughing very hard. you want good steak? go to wolfgang's or smith and wollensky's or luger's. steer clear of parlor. ive lived in manhattan my whole life and this place just flat sucks.

    Great UES addition

Yellowtail sashimi was a great clean appetizer with great flavor and the porterhouse for two medium rare was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was okay and I probably would not get it again, but the creamed spinach was as good as any I have had before. The waiter said the had just changed the keg so the Guiness was delicious. The service was very attentive. Although we didn't have one, the burgers looked awesome. The prices were reasonable, maybe even slightly less then the average steakhouse. Also a great bar area w/ nice flat screens for sports.

    Neighborhood gem!

We live across the street and are so happy to have such a great restaurant in the neighborhood! The food is fresh and dependable, service is exceptional, and the crowd is great. We hope this restaurant does well and lasts!

    Great Place!

I live a few blocks away and love this great addition to the neighborhood. The cocktails are a nice surprise and I take my girls all the time just to get a drink. As far as the food my favorites are the lobster cocktail, the gazpacho (I think they only had this in the summer), the burger (comes with this great dipping sauce and fries with these really light fried onions), and the steaks are always great. I tried the oysters and they were ok. Not the best, but still alright. It's simple food and the prices aren't crazy. Staff has always been top notch and they remember my favorite drink. I go at least once a week.

    Pass the SALT?

No complaints about the service or atmosphere, but the food was sub-par. I asked for a medium-rare steak and it came back well-done. The chef also salts everything on the menu too much. Unless your 70 years old or have a high salt intake this place will leave a bad taste in your mouth.

    Great evening

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place for dinner on a Thursday night and we were pleasantly surprised by this new steakhouse. It had a great vibe, pretty young and trendy. Service was excellent. The owner even came over to our table to introduce himself and open our bottle of wine, which was really nice. The overall feel was friendly and anything they could do to make us have a pleasant evening was done. Food was all excellent. Also had a great wine list with many options under $50, which is unusual for a steakhouse. We will definitely return.

    Pleasantly surprised!

This neighborhood really needed a nice steakhouse like this. We live in the neighborhood and were excited (but highly skeptical) to try this place out. We've been 4 different times now and i have to admit, the first time i was underwhelmed but we gave them the benefit of the doubt, being new, and fortunately each and every time they show great improvement! Last time was superb! We split the porterhouse for two and the meat was so delicious niether of us even used the accompanying dipping sauces, which says something for a good steak! The sides were much better and all in all I have high hopes for this place. THey're still newbies so they definitely have things to work on but the important thing is that you can see them working on them.
